Our out of hours service from 6pm on Friday 26th June to 8am on Monday 29th June is being covered by Synergy Vets.

If you need a vet during this time, please call our usual number 01884 860236 and you will be put through to the on call vet.

This is a one off arrangement to allow our entire team to attend an event that is out of area and will not be a regular occurence.

Our Witheridge branch will be open as normal on Saturday 27th June, 8am to 12pm, for medicine collections only. There will not be a vet on site, so please call ahead with your drug order, as it may take a little longer than normal to be cleared by a vet.

🐑 Subsidised testing for exposure to Toxoplasmosis & Enzootic Abortion 🐑

Enzootic Abortion (EAE) & Toxoplasmosis are responsible for nearly 2/3rd of all sheep abortions. Toxoplasmosis is also the most common cause of early embryonic loss and barren ewes.

FlockCheck 2026 scheme - blood sample 6 to 8 unvaccinated, aborted/barren ewes.

Services are chargeable, lab fees paid for by MSD Animal Health

On farm visit - £75 + VAT
At Witheridge surgery - £30 + VAT

Trace element and/or iceberg disease testing can be added for extra cost.

Based on the results, we can then advise a vaccination programme (+/- mineral supplementation +/- further testing and a control plan for iceberg diseases)
