Vacancy for FT or PT ANA (Animal Nursing Assistant) primarily based at our Witchford Surgery.
We are looking for someone to join our friendly team. Industry experience would be ideal but all the necessary training provided to the right enthusiastic person. You will be there to assist our team of experienced RVN's with all aspects of inpatient care. Hours by negotiation.

🌞 Please take care in the extreme heat that we are experiencing at the moment 🌞

All animals are at risk in this heat, especially the young, elderly and shorter-faced breeds. As much as they love their walks it is too dangerous to take them out in this hot weather. Please keep them at home in the cool instead. Regularly check on any rabbits or guinea pigs that are housed outside, making sure that they are cool and clean. If you have any concerns about your pets, do not hesitate to contact the surgery on 01353 634123.

This bank holiday weekend is set to be a warm one. Please take care with your pets in this heat 🌞

Do you know what our nurses do?
To become registered, it takes lots of course work, practical and written exams, as well as many hours of on the job training.
After registering, Vet Nurses can :

🔵 Monitor anaesthetised animals
🔵 Prepare animals for surgery
🔵 Take radiographs
🔵 Take and process blood samples
🔵 Administer medication
🔵 Run nurse clinics
🔵 Carry out diagnostic tests
🔵 Looking after inpatients
