We are back at it with a short down stay before we go out for a walk and our cat decided to join.lol

Cats and dogs getting along and respectfully to each other is nice to see.

Client wanted to teach a fun game to her pup. This is the first session, eventually the pup will search for small lost items like keys, wallet and phones.

Its a nice exercise to use the dogs natural motivations to search and retrieve.

lovely, productive end to a session yesterday —

I had the privilege of meeting a wonderful couple and their golden retriever. They’d previously seen a couple of other trainers, so we began with a good chat and debrief to fully understand the issues they’d been experiencing: problems on walks, jumping up, nipping, and sudden, sporadic interruptions during the walk.

We discussed the different types of equipment available — harnesses, flat collars, choke chains, remote collars, and prong collars ,food and toys
— and how each could be used appropriately. From there, we created a tailored training plan for the session.

What you see is the result of clear communication between trainer and owner, along with effective, thoughtful use of the right training tools

Few more sessions to follow to consolidate and give his owner the confidence. Well done.

Meet Bruce, a 14-month-old Doberman currently in training! Here, I’m introducing him to working for food by following my hand, which will soon transition into walking nicely in the heel position. The session is done using motivation, voice praise, and food rewards.

Bruce will be available as a family dog, and his training can continue and be customized to fit your needs. If you're interested, feel free to reach out!
