Fantastic to see our traditional Durham Butter being sold within Durham City. Pick up a roll or two at the NEW Discovering Durham CIC Deli & Café

The rich, deep, creamy taste of our butter is no accident. We think that food is at its best when it's kept natural and fresh, with as little "messing about with" as possible. That's why we make it the old-fashioned way, traditionally farm-churned with patience, care and proper attention to detail.

Our butter is made using local fresh cream, and a pinch of salt. Simple, wholesome, and delicious!

Milk Suppliers - All in the family

It all started back in 1984, when our Michael took the decision to process the milk and cream from our very own award-winning dairy herd here on the farm and become a local dairy company.

People loved our milk and cream so much we needed more, so we asked our neighbours to supply us with their milk and cream, knowing that they cared for their cows as much as we do for ours. And that’s how our family became local milk suppliers and a community business.

A few years later, young Paul came back from university with a whole load of fancy notions and joined his father in the milk suppliers business. Almost immediately, he had the bright idea of making and packaging our own dairy products, before selling them to local shops and supermarkets…
