Today I am 10 years old. Walker woman finally came home from work and has started giving me the attention that I have been deprived of all day!
She tells me I am getting sausages for dinner.
That’s it, just sausages! Not even a flipping steak! She is so damn cheap!
I may need to remind her that I have not eaten a cushion, chewed the sofa, eaten a shoe or dug up the garden in quite some time…. It does not have to remain that way… I’m only 10!

Walker woman was gone ALL day yesterday. So when she finally got home and fed me, I was looking forward to making her pay for leaving me all evening! But then she got changed… and not into pj’s! Was she going out? Again? Without me???
I am happy to report that she did in fact go out again….. but, she took me with her!
Pub dog strikes again!
After a freezing walk in the dark, we descended into the pub, where we were joined by someone I have only seen on a screen before… (apparently ww “works” with him!) all I’ve seen is they talk a lot!
The bar lady brought me my own bowl and biscuits! While they ate and drank wine…
Thankfully ww insisted we leave at a reasonable hour so I could get my beauty sleep!

Walker woman has abandoned me….. AGAIN!!! I have to admit though, bringing in her sister to dogsit the house has been a genius idea! The sister took me to the pub! I got to get cuddles from lots of people! I even put on my “look at me I’m starving face”to try and get snacks…. Though S said I am looking a bit porky so she doesn’t think that will work!!

Today I met a new beagle friend! Monty is only 6 months old and made walker woman squeal “beagle” in a voice that made it seem like she had never seen a beagle before!
I tried extremely hard to out cute him, but have you tried outcuting a beagle puppy? Impossible!
Walker woman is now all: You used to be THAT cute, and maybe another one wouldn’t be soooo bad…. I think she needs to remember how lucky she is that I agree to live with her! And that I and I alone deserve all the snacks! Ww, don’t even think about it… I have got used to a peaceful sofa!

Walker woman dragged me to the river today…. So obviously I needed to find the most disgusting stretch of river to stop for a drink and a swim! It was AWESOME! Then it rained…. That was fun! Ww says the car (because of me) smells like wet dog…. I think it smells perfect! And now we are home, will she let me relax on the sofa? Will she hell as like! I am being forced to nap on my bed until I dry out…. She will pay the price… She has to sleep sometime!

Yes I am really going to sit here! Yes I am going to tell the whole neighbourhood how awful you are! How dare you only give me biscuits for breakfast!!! You may as well be starving me!

I have excelled myself today on my walk. Walker woman said we would need to be quick as it was due to rain again in 30 minutes….
As soon as we entered the park, I decided to immediately leave the park and go snoofling for kitty nuggets in a fenced off area ww can’t get in to (I squeeze under the gate!!)
After 10 minutes I decide I have finished my kitty nuggets search so graciously return to the park.
On re entering the park, I spotted another dog that looked familiar ALL the way over the other side…. So I looked at ww, who said don’t you dare…. Well guess what, I dared! I ran all the way over and said hello…. Ww waited for me on the other side instead of chasing after me, and we can’t have her not following the you must chase after your dog law….so when I was about to head back I obviously had to stop to p**p…. Cue ww running over and having to spend 15 minutes trying to find said p**p!💩 of course, at this stage it started pouring down…. After finding the p**p, ww had me back on my lead and heading home at a quick march…. We got home looking like drowned rats! Ww has been muttering things like…. “Why the hell did I get a beagle” and “I need a drink” ever since!!!

I have had to take a week off trying to kill walker woman…. She has been “dying” all week all on her own! (Nasty cold/sinus/chest infection!)
This means I have avoided: Being immediately under her feet every time she turns round… Usually making her exclaim “Beagle are you trying to kill me?” …. I have not left any toys strategically placed on the stairs for her to trip over and use the sweary words! …. I have instead been a snuggly beagle and have been checking in on her every 2 minutes to make sure she is ok and to see if she wanted to stretch her legs and go to the kitchen for snacks….. you know, to aid her recovery!
She is feeling a bit more human now, so normal service will resume on Monday!

After a few days of trying to kill walker woman, today I showed my gentle side. The fledglings are fledging, sort of flying but not quite. Today this little chap landed in my garden and was shouting for his parents to come feed him ( he must have been watching my antics) ! Well I wanted to say hello…. Much to ww’s amazement I didn’t eat him… I snoofled and sniffed and declared him my friend! I even named him Bert the bird. We hung out for a couple of hours until his wings got strong enough for him to leave the garden…. I will miss him….
Oh you want to know about me trying to kill ww? I will save that for another time…. Time to go arooo in the garden as it’s nearly walkies time!

It is 6am, why is walker woman up? Can she not see I am trying to sleep here? I am not a spring chicken, (and neither is she), I need my beauty sleep!

We have had a very sad week. Lyra has had quite a few issues since coming over from Greece to live with us. She became very reactive around other dogs about 4 years ago, and walker woman had tried everything under the sun to try and make her less anxious. Unfortunately her reactivity got worse and she attacked Tao. Tao is ok, has a sprained shoulder and is still limping, but will be ok. Unfortunately, walker woman and the vet had to make the heartbreaking decision to have Lyra put to sleep as she had become a danger to others.
For anyone that has had to face behavioural euthanasia, I feel you. It was beyond sad. But the decision was the right one. She couldn’t be rehomed as she has previously bitten walker woman.
Lyra, you will be missed ###x

Guess what, guess what, guess what….. ex-uni brat and the mad scientist came all the way from Australia just to see me!!! Well, they are seeing lots of other people too, but it was mainly to see me! What other reason could there be???
