Yesterday I got to spend an hour with the lovely Finn for an enrichment break. After having an op on Monday he hasn’t been able to get quite as much physical exercise as he’d like this week, so instead, armed with a bag of treats and toys we spent some time tiring his brain out instead. We played some find it games to engage that spaniel search brain, spent a good 15 minutes snuffling in a snuffle mat and even snuck in some flirt pole games.

From clever dogs picking through blackberry bushes to find ripe and ready treats, to the less intelligent species that still seem to feel that this is appropriate behaviour.

Professional dog walkers often get unfairly blamed for this sort of behaviour but I can hand or heart state that neither myself nor any dog walkers I’ve met have ever been anything other than infuriated by peoples unwavering belief in the magic dog poo fairy!

Although, having removed and disposed of the offending bag, I’m now slightly worried that I’ll have to rebrand as said ‘dog poo fairy’ and honestly I’ve never had the legs to pull off a tutu!

About 18 years ago, the original seed for ‘The Dog’s Frolics’ was slowly growing in the form of ‘Watch Ya Bunny’. Courtesy of some iconic word & clip art, some fancy photo paper and my trusty push bike I started my business, offering small animal holiday care.
Whilst over the years things might of changed a little bit, the logo’s a bit fancier (only because clip art longer exists) the car’s a bit bigger and the focus has shifted more towards your canine companions, little 14 year old Lucy’s love for your smaller fluffy friends still remains.
With holiday season fast approaching, this is just a reminder that The Dog’s Frolics do offer small animal care and pop ins as well as cat care and feeding.
