As some of you may know I recently had to say ‘Goodnight’ for the last time to my dear little Cavapoo Minnie Moo, she made it to almost 14. She had an extra 2 years while we managed a non cancerous tumor inside her nose with medication until it became too much and we had to make the unenviable decision.

I’m telling you this so I can recommend 2 fantastic companies who helped us navigate the final stage of being a dog parent.

Cloud 9 vets - a group of vets based around the UK who come to your house for euthanasia. No hidden charges, very uncomplicated and hugely compassionate group of people. It was not rushed and very peaceful.

Cremate-a-pet, Wi******er - a family run local company who liased with the vet (who transported her to them). I was very reassured that she was looked after individually and respectfully until we collected her ashes a week later.

Ultimately it’s a rubbish process to go through but one that we will all need to be aware of at some point and I hope these recommendations help

Been a tough week, lost 2 fantastic dogs who were much loved as I’d groomed them for so many years I’ve lost count. 🥹

Also managed to save a few animals from being run over, so there’s a small bit of light…Midweek there were 3 cute goats in the middle of the road near Timsbury so tracked down owner and got them sorted and safe. Then yesterday a schnauzer took extended walkies in Compton across the busy main road so I beached my van (sorry if you were stuck behind me but better to be a few seconds delayed than having to live with running it over) I grabbed my vans lead and went looking for his owner. Luckily found them fairly quickly and gave them a heads up about his Houdini fence tricks.

Thank god it’s the weekend.

Ive set up a themed party bag (side) business aimed at 3-7 yr olds with a more eco friendly angle - Trying to reduce single use plastics. All bags are handmade by me and either filled or unfilled.
