Unfortunately some really sad news.💔

After suffering with sciatica symptoms for two week and on Friday waking up to numbness, I was taken to A&E and eventually told I have cauda equina syndrome - essentially damaged nerves in my spinal cord.

I was then transferred to another hospital to see specialists, where I underwent spinal surgery.

Because of this, Holly and The Dogs will be on pause until the New Yearfor any new customers until I work my way back up to full mobility. ❤️‍🩹

Had fallen out of love of posting on Instagram recently. Turns out all I needed was a new pupster to make my entire personality. Anyway, here’s Dexter 🚀 He smashed his first walk today and and treated the bus like it was his private chauffeur service. Within half an hour he’d already earned the nickname Double Deccy. Obsessed with him guys 🫶🏻🧡🥰

Group walks aren’t for every dog. Some find the environment overwhelming, while others absolutely thrive in it. Barney is the perfect example of how the right setting can bring out the very best in a dog. 🫶🏻

When he first joined us over a year ago, Barney was anxious, unsure, and not at all convinced about the whole van-and-walks situation. He kept himself to himself, and it was clear he felt pretty unsettled around the other dogs. So, we took it slowly. A few tweaks to the van, lots of reassurance, and plenty of time to build trust with both me and the group.

Fast forward to today and he’s an absolute star of the team. Barney zooms out of the house in the mornings, dives straight into his seat in the van (usually next to Edie, of course), and bounds into his walks with all the enthusiasm in the world.

Watching a dog go from worried and reserved to confident and joyful is hands down the best part of this job. You’re a legend, Barney. We LOVE you. 🧡
