⚠️️✈️IMPORTANT PET TRAVEL UPDATE✈️⚠️️
Please be aware that from tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd April 2026, new EU rules will apply to dogs, cats and ferrets travelling to the EU. An EU pet passport, issued to or held by a pet owner who is resident in GB, will no longer be a valid document for travelling with pets from GB to the EU.
We hope this message will be read by anyone holding such a passport, but please forward this information on to anyone you know who has such a document so they can be prepared.
From Wednesday 22nd April 2026 any pet traveling to the EU from GB will need to be issued with an ‘Animal Health Certificate’ (AHC) by an OV vet. The Animal Health Certificate (AHC) is a large document, and can take up to an hour for an OV to fill in. Please be aware that early booking is crucial to ensure appointment availability.
