And finally some of the beautiful pets we had the privilege of looking after throughout their lives but now have a very, very special place in our hearts. There are many more but sadly I don’t have pics.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful staff who put up with me for so many years, without whom I wouldn’t have been able to have my business.

WELCOME TO DEANDANE

We are a small friendly business, owned and run by the Whalley family since 1959. Nestling in the Douglas Valley, in the rural hamlet of Gathurst just 4 miles from Wigan town centre. We are surrounded by our 200 acres of beautiful Lancashire countryside with easy access by road (5 mins J26 & J27 of the M6) and rail (2 mins walk from Gathurst Station).

At Deandane we pride ourselves on our freindly, experienced and professional staff who are dedicated to making your pets stay with us more of a home from home rather than just boarding, taking time to get to know each animals personality and preferences.

Our kennels and catteries are spacious and light with cosy sleeping quarters which are heated in the cold weather. All kennels have individual covered pens with access all day while the catteries all have a covered play area with access through a cat flap at all times. Dogs also have individual access to securely fenced, grass paddocks to run loose and play several times a day. Please note, we do not mix dogs but they are able to see other dogs while out in the paddocks.
