Here's a closer look at what I've been working on for the past couple of months! These foil pieces are so much fun to create and mesmerising to look at ✨

I have a few different designs available in gold or silver, and I can make these up with different specimens 🧡

I could admire the beauty of these insects all day - there are so many intricate little details, I feel like every time I look at them I see something new! ✨

I find the unpinning process so stressful yet so rewarding - there's always some antennae that need repairing and maybe even a wing that needs reattaching, but I'm finding the damages are getting less and less frequent as my setting skills improve 🦋

Just listed this beautiful new glass dome on my Etsy! ✨
This piece features a Red Admiral butterfly (Vanessa Atalanta) surrounded by dried statice, sea lavender, ammobium, straw flower, and reindeer moss. I just love working with autumnal colours 🧡

The weather here in the UK has been pretty abysmal and as a result I have seen far fewer butterflies this year. I hope August brings some warmer weather and the butterflies can start to emerge! 🦋

Something a little different from me 🧡 I have been wanting to create something like this for a while, but just never found the time until now. I really enjoyed working on this piece and bringing out my love for all things natural and whimsical ✨

When I first started working with insects, the vibrant colours of the Madagascan Sunset Moth absolutely blew me away 🧡 It became an instant favourite for me, and I'm still amazed by the colours and the patterns every time I get to work with this species!

Often mistaken for a butterfly, this day-flying moth is considered one of the most impressive and appealing-looking lepidopterans. The colours originate from optical interference in the iridescent parts of the wings, while the black parts are pigmented. The bright aposematic colours warn predators of its toxicity, a strategy seen in many diurnal moths ✨

Sorry I've been a bit quiet on here for the past couple weeks - I returned from holiday last weekend and things have been a bit hectic since! 😅

I have been very busy working on all you lovely people's orders, and have also been busy preparing for the Invert Show tomorrow in Wigan! 🪲
