Hello!
Just thought I would give you all a little health update. On boxing day, I lost the vision in my left eye. After an inconclusive eye biopsy and PET scan, my consultant decided that it would be safer to treat the eye as if there was one or two rogue leukaemic cells in the optic nerve, causing eye swelling and vision loss. This has meant that I have needed further chemotherapy to target this. I will require a course of radiotherapy and will be undergoing a stem cell transplant in the near future.
This will reset my cells and enable me to live a long and healthy life.
For now, I am unsure when I will be back to dog walking. I will take time with my family whilst regaining my strength once the stem cell transplant has been done.

Just a little update!

I finished a week long phase of chemotherapy today. This chemotherapy is part of the consolidation phase of my treatment and is done as an outpatient. I'm feeling ok and hope to start the next lot of chemotherapy in a few weeks! I still have a decent way to go, but hopefully soon my treatment will be stepping down to the maintenance phase. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป

I also have some other news. Introducing Lucy Watson, who was born 30/8/2023 at 10:06 weighing 6 lbs 8 oz! Both Sarah and Lucy are doing really well and we couldn't be happier! We are definitely going to end this year better than we started it! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•

Larry is also doing well and is loving the role of big brother! ๐Ÿ˜

Just thought I would give you a little update. I came home from hospital on Friday and have a couple more years of 'maintenance chemo' ahead of me, however this becomes less frequent as time goes on. I hope to be back dog walking in the new year and am working to build my strength up to get back to all of our fun adventures.
Missing all of your furbabies and can't wait to be back!

Hi all! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ
Just to let you all know, I got home last night after being in hospital since 30th January. I am on the mend and have a couple of weeks of chemo left as an outpatient. I have been getting treated for t-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Thank you for sending all your love and support to Sarah, she has been passing on all of your well wishes! ๐Ÿ˜Š
In the mean time, I'm working on getting fit as I have a lot of muscle wastage.
I'll keep you all updated anyway!
Hopefully I will be getting back to our adventures soon! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿพ
