Microchipping your cat gives you the best chance of being reunited with them should they become lost. 🐈

We've busted some microchip myths and answered common questions – swipe to see!

Find out more about microchipping your cat 👉 https://icatcare.org/articles/microchipping-cats?

MYTH: “My cat doesn’t go outside, so I don’t need to get a microchip.”
TRUTH: Indoor cats can escape outside and get lost. A microchip can help you be reunited more easily.

QUESTION: Why not just use a collar and tag? Isn’t that enough?
ANSWER: They do help show that a cat is owned, but collars can fall off. Some can even be an injury risk if they get caught and don’t have a safety release. Microchips are permanent and safe.

MYTH: “I don’t have to microchip my cat, so I won’t.”
TRUTH: In some countries, microchipping pets is required by law. Check what you should do where you live.

QUESTION: Can implanting a microchip hurt my cat?
ANSWER: Microchipping cats is safe and rarely associated with problems. The microchip is small and is quick and easy to implant, causing minimal discomfort.

MYTH: “A microchip can track my cat.”
TRUTH: A microchip cannot track your cat’s location, but it is a reliable way to store contact information for if your cat becomes lost.

QUESTION: Do I have to do anything after the microchip is implanted?
ANSWER: You will need to make sure that your contact details are kept up to date on the microchip if you move or change numbers

Via The Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund:

How much hay should you feed your rabbits?

The answer is simple: Unlimited.

But what does ‘unlimited’ actually look like?

As a guide, your rabbits should have access to a pile of fresh hay at least the size of their own body every single day, even if they have constant access to grass. Hay should make up the majority of their diet, with fresh leafy greens around 10% and pellets no more than 5%.
