Am I glad I got up early and moved my last dog to 7am….🫶🎉🥵. I certainly didn’t want to be standing in the salon - or putting little Molly through a groom in this heat now. We’d have both been puddles of melted goo!!
Molly was up and out early doors, and then double trouble arrived. (And I mean that - with all the fondness in my heart, cos even though they are menaces, they are flippin brilliant! I laugh my way through a plethora of swears during their grooms, and each one is deserved 🤣🫶🤣) Maggie and Lilly came in for a chopity chop! 🤣🫶🫠
You may think my words above are a little harsh, I’m meant to be patient and calm…and I am. I have the patience of a Saint. However….imagine, for a second…one dog freshly groomed, after her sister tripped me 3 times by sitting right behind my feet, (how I have all my fingers, and how Maggie has all eyes, ear, limbs…I’ll never know!) Then it’s Lilly’s turn…Lil’s in the bath, Maggie is trying to get in the bath…she’s bouncing and parkour’ing round the place like she’s in training for the doggy olympics. She almost made it in with Lilly too, had I not caught her mid-air, and reminded her she didn’t want to be in there when it was her turn. The rest of Lilly’s groom was completed with her big sister Tigger, bouncing up and down my back, like a four legged fury ninja, doing flying kicks at an angry opponent. I have developed a core of steel, and the steady hands of a sniper after withstanding all the assaults from today! I deserve a bleedin award for turning out these 2 completed grooms…!🤣. Don’t you dare say their legs or faces are wonky…because I just don’t care! 🤣🫠🤣🫠🤣😘
Now I’m off to get me an ice lolly. 🫠🫶
