This is why yours dogs feet should be trimmed regularly. Going longer than 8 weeks on a coated dog in this heat is irresponsible. Especially poodle mixes whose coat should be maintained on a 4-8 week schedule! If you can’t see their pads get an appointment with groomer asap in this heat!!!

With this extreme weather I’ve had to reschedule appointments for the safety of your dogs. I can keep them cool when they’re here but traveling to and from is just unfair on them. Thankfully you’re all regulars and your dogs are well maintained so will not cause them any problems. New appointments available mid July. If your dog (one that requires clipping) hasn’t been groomed for over 8 weeks please take care with them as they are over due a clip and in this weather will be more uncomfortable and at higher risk

Well it’s hot hot hot so if you would like to move your appointment please let me know asap. I have the master blaster set on cold and fans set up so the dogs will be nice and cool. X

It’s summer it’s hot 🔥 but as long as you’ve kept your dogs coat Matt free and well maintained they’ll be able to cope (obviously they need shade and no walks in this heat) however if you’ve not kept up with your grooms and you haven’t pre booked your appointments 🫣, all the good groomers are gridlocked maintaining their regulars. This is why it’s important to have your coated dogs they require trimming on a grooming schedule with your groomer. This way you become a regular and always a priority groom. To clarify a regular is a dog that needs cutting, that’s booked in for its next groom on the day of its last groom so the groomer has them scheduled on a regular basis. Random grooms are the ones that you never know when they’re coming in and they’re normally matted (nobody likes to do this it’s stressful and uncomfortable for the dog). This only stands for those with doodles, poodles, bichons, Tibetans and spaniels. Double coated and short coated are not included in this. Keep cool everyone 😎

Teddie update
Op went well and they’re keeping her in on strong pain relief. Hoping to bring her home tomorrow for the long road of recovery x

So Teddie has managed to tear her ACL (cruciate ligament) and is booked for major surgery in Cambridge on Tuesday 5th May. Apologies to everyone who has had their appointments moved I really appreciate your understanding xx
