We hope you are all staying safe in this awful weather.
We feel it is absolutely necessary to address false and damaging statements currently being circulated about our family and our former business. These claims are completely untrue, deeply upsetting, and something we will not tolerate.
We have been made aware that Whitwick Convenience Store / Whitwick Raw Pet Food has informed customers that our businesses are linked after they allegedly made a dog seriously ill due to incorrect advice. This is entirely false.
We are aware that a customer was advised by that store to cook raw pet food, which resulted in the dog becoming unwell. When the customer returned to raise concerns, they were reportedly told:
“We sell on behalf of Teddy’s Raw, so take it up with them.”
Let us be absolutely clear:
• We did not give this advice
• We would never advise cooking raw food
• We have no affiliation with Whitwick Raw Pet Food
• Jess is a qualified canine nutritionist and has always provided correct, safe guidance
As many of you already know, the only reason we closed was the economic climate. There were no other factors involved. Any suggestion otherwise is false and misleading.
We are profoundly hurt that our name is being used in this way, particularly as a family business that has always acted with integrity and care. We will not allow our reputation to be damaged by misinformation or deflection of responsibility.
For the safety of your pets, we strongly urge people to think very carefully before taking advice from this store.
