I haven't got around to posting this. It's a pencil portrait I made of our own cat, Nala, who died last year, a grand old lady of seventeen. I made it especially for my wife and daughter who absolutely adored her. Clare still looks for her every time we open the front door after we've been away. My latest drawing has been inspired my a recent trip to California where I got into a live we**am channel featuring a family of bald eagles rearing their chicks. Stunning creatures. Here is a short time lapse of the drawing process. This one took quite a few days to finish but I'm happy with the end result.

So I was recently asked to make a pencil drawing of Tyson, a lovely Yorkshire Terrier. The commission was won in an auction bid to raise money for a really great personal cause. I recently completed this coloured pencil portrait commission of Summer, a beautiful golden retriever, not even one year old yet. An early Christmas present, I believe, for a family in Canada. Beautiful colours to work with and what a lovely creature.

I started this coloured pencil drawing a year or so ago. Put it away in a drawer and finally got round to finishing it yesterday. Used a mix of Polychromos and Luminance coloured pencils onto Pastelmat paper which is a surface I am beginning to love.

I recently made a series of four coloured pencil portraits for someone. Two dogs and two cats. The photographic references I was given were all taken at different times with different light settings. So I decided to make individual compositions to tie them in together as a set. All mounted together in one frame.
