Tartan Plaid Woven Pinafore Dress 🪡🧵

A gorgeous dress made for a very special little girls first Christmas! 🎄

It was my absolute pleasure to be given the task of making this little dress and blouse after Megan struggled to get anything small enough to fit within the shops!

Megan came to me with what she wanted and we made her vision come to life! ✨

Shorts & Waistcoats ⛪️ 🪡

Megan came to me after not being able to find the same fabric as the Gentlemen’s suits for her two Page boy outfits…

We took a three piece suit, the same as the Grooms and cut out two pairs of long shorts and two waistcoats. Fully lining them both, adding pockets to the shorts and turning them up, the results were just perfect!

To add a little colour and match them to the days colour scheme, we took a spare length of unwanted material from a Bridesmaids dress and created two Bow Ties for both of the boys.

This job also required four of the Groomsmen’s suits to be extensively altered due to sizings.

It was a big job but I’m thoroughly pleased with the results and think the boys looked wonderful in their shorts & waistcoat jackets on the big day! ⛪️

Happy New Year ✨

I would like to thank everyone for all of your support throughout this year to my small business, it means the world to me and I throughly appreciate doing something I love so much, especially throughout what has been a tough year for all.

As I meet more of you each week, I often get asked the question of 'what's your actual name Nanny Chickens Knits?'

Well, the photo above shows all of my beautiful Grandchildren, yes that's right, all 8 of them! To them I'm known as Nanny, Nan but more often, Nanny Chicken, as I'm the Nanny with all the chickens down the garden - so that is where Nanny Chickens Knits has come from! 🐓

I would like to wish each and everyone of you a safe, happy, healthy and prosperous new year and hope to see you soon.

Minnie Mouse Coasters & Place Mats 🎀

An existing customer got in touch with something she had seen online and loved, “could you make these for me so I can buy locally to support smaller businesses” - ABSOLUTELY!

This filled me with joy and I was more than happy to see if this was something I could do, and I even took it a step further in making up a place mat to match the coasters!
