With springtime on the doorstep it’s time to put away those woolly hats and scarves and get excited for warmer days ahead. As dog owners however, it’s worth remembering that the changing seasons can bring some unwanted hazards for our four-legged friends.

poisonous plants, springtime presents several dangers to our canine companions. We have highlighted our top 10 things to look out for, helping you keep doggo safe and happy this springtime.

Spring is a season when beautiful flowers will start coming into bloom, however several of these common flowers and plants can be dangerous to dogs. Common culprits include Daffodils, Tulips, Foxgloves and Bluebells, Azaleas/Rhododendrons,Hydrangeas, Ivy, Lily of the Valley, Oleander, Snowdrops, Wisteria, all of which are toxic to our four-legged friends.

Common symptoms of poisoning can include vomiting, diarrhoea, excessive drooling and lethargy, however in some dogs the repercussions of ingesting one of these toxic flowers or plants can be far more severe.

A QUESTION FOR ALL YOU PEDEL BIKE RIDERS, CAR AND MOTOR BIKE DRIVERS. I went down a pot hole which damaged my car causing around £200 worth of damage, i put a claim in to the council who say as the hole was only 30mm deep they are not responsible ( i could not tell how deep the hole was as it was full of water ) but looking at the rubble that has come out of the hole i feel it was deepr than 30mm. As every one knows the roads are disgusting. , i have no intensions of letting this go. NOW THE QUESTION has any body else had any damage caused by the disgusting condition of the roads within the area covered by North tyneside council.
