At just six months old, Bear was trying to survive on the streets while in unbearable pain. ๐
X-rays revealed a badly fractured right hind leg โ so badly damaged that the only option was to amputate.
But it wasn't over for Bear, while resting, our Victoria team noticed that Bearโs other leg was also unstable. Unfortunately, further X-rays revealed that he had a dislocated kneecap.
On the day the stitches from his amputation were removed, poor Bear had to endure another operation on his other leg.
With the care and love from our veterinary, rehoming, and foster teams, Bear has gone from strength to strength, is no longer in pain, and is now in a loving new home. ๐
2024 saw a 9% increase in cat admissions, and we envision a greater surge in homeless pets, like Bear, needing our care this year.
Please help us continue to provide life-saving vet care for homeless pets by donating to our cause.
