I run Paws and Whiskers from my home in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire. It is a warm, clean, fun, family environment where your dog will be treated like one of our own with love, fun and regular exercise. Paws and Whiskers (PAWS) holds a full insurance to cover all aspects of pet services. The advantage of boarding through PAWS is that your dog will get lots of love and attention so as to make thei

r stay as relaxed as possible, allowing you to enjoy your time away. I have two children, Molly (11) and Andrew (10) as well as a 4 year old rescue Jack Russel called Marley. There are also the two ponies, Boycee and Micky. I have always loved animals, had animals, and worked with animals. Growing up we had dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and fish! Once i left school I went on to take my HND in Horse Studies and Business Management. Once qualified, I pursued a career within the horse industry until I had my children. As Molly and Andrew got older I decided that I wanted to go back to working with animals. This led me to start working for a friend who had their own Pet Services company. When they moved away I took the brave step of starting up on my own and have never looked back. My 4 legged guests get to take full advantage of the beautiful walks that go on for miles, just behind my house. When they are not exploring the countryside, they can explore my big dog proof garden or do a spot of sunbathing. When the nights start drawing in, they can curl up in front of the dog proof open fire. New guests are also welcome to come and have a sniff and see where they will be staying. Owners welcome to come and look too! This way your pet gets to meet me and vice versa before any stay is booked

PAWS does not only provide holiday care, we also provide day care, pet feeding, puppy care and pet taxi to name a few. A full list is available. If you have any questions then please contact me via email ( [email protected] ).

Sorry if I have not responded to any requests!!! I’ve enjoyed a few days off with my husband and it’s been a weekend of ups and downs! Friday started with the funeral of an amazing lady and the weekend ended with James Martin at the Apollo. In between that there was a fantastic win for England Rugby against Wales, lots of good food and alcohol!
Home and absolutely shattered and have decided I quite like Hammersmith in London!
Will have my working head on Monday morning (I hope) ☺️

It’s officially been 2 years since we took on our biggest challenge yet!!!

Back in January 2023 we found out we had to quickly relocate from our high street location on Vaughan Road. What a month that was 😂

We can still remember the nerves driving to work for our official opening day (4th March 2023) wondering if anyone would even turn up! Yet there you all was waiting to greet us with smiling faces and wagging tails

2 years down the line we are happier than ever in our lovely new home in Southdown and we’ve even avoided those pesky parking charges the council have introduced to town!

Just want to say a big thank you to our wonderful local community for all the support since we took over in 2016 and a big big thank you to everyone that has continued to support us since the move in 2023, we honestly couldn’t do this without you all.
