Speakers of the year Rachel Colant (Barkleigh honors) and Lisa Hart (Liz Paul) are teaming up for a very special one off event in the UK.

This is Rachel’s first time teaching across the pond so don’t miss this incredible opportunity to learn from Rachel who is a second-generation dog groomer with nearly 15 years of professional experience. Based in Los Angeles, she owns her own salon and serves as Director of Operations at Groom Curriculum, where she helps develop and deliver professional grooming education nationwide. An award-winning freestyle groomer, Rachel is also a leading seminar speaker, recognized for her expertise in gentle grooming techniques and her commitment to elevating the industry through education. Rachel has been recognized with multiple industry honors, including the 2025 Barkleigh Honors Speaker of the Year award.

She will be teaming up with the UK’s own Lisa Hart,

Lisa Is an award winning groomer with over 20 years experience in grooming.
She has her own salon in the Peak District and specializes in Asian fusion styles and was the first ever recipient of the Liz Paul Asian fusion groomer of the year award.

Lisa was also awarded The Liz Paul speaker of the year award in 2025 for her dedication to teaching as was Rachel in the USA at the prestigious Barkleigh honors awards.
Lisa & Rachel are both passionate about further development and education and love to teach.

Lisa has recently been traveling all over the world to teach Asian Fusion and salon styling and to Judge at grooming competitions.

You can catch the Lisa and Rachel on Sunday 14th June at Woof & Ready in Glossop which has easy transport links from Manchester and multiple accommodation options.

Lisa & Rachel will be demonstrating one full groom each based on elevation of salon grooming and Adding Asian influence, will have a Q&A chat on social media and marketing.
Trade stands and sharpening will be available on the day and all attendees will receive gift bags and certificates. Lunch is provided.

💜 Groomfest 2026 is throwing it back 10 years to my first ever Competition 💜

I’m so excited to work on stand tomorrow as this venue was also the Venue for my first ever grooming competition.
British dog grooming championships 2016. 💜

I competed with my dear Esme and I hold this memory so close to my heart, I would never have achieved what I have without my little muse and star Esme 💜

I entered never having attended a competition before, It was only the second Asian class in the UK, there were 7 people in my class including .alpha1 and Vik’s breeder Sharon Mills. My judge was Kelly Davis

I remember crying the moment I walked off the podium and calling my partner as I never thought I could win anything!
Finally found my calling and made it to champion level very quickly. 💜

However looking back it’s a good job my skills improved 😂

I need to find a new style to push myself this hard at. 💜

Never stop believing in yourself or working hard to achieve your goals, It’s been an incredible 10 years after passing Multiple exams and building my brand, I now get to pass on my knowledge from the last 10 years to others and I couldn’t be more thankful to this day for starting it all 💜

Tomorrow I get to take my angel Nancy who was definitely sent by Esme to carry on her mischief to the place where it all started, please come by to say hi 🥰
