With The Coat Education Day happening this Sunday, we’re officially in countdown mode and so excited to welcome you all.

Here’s a little reminder of what the day has in store:

• Doors open 9.00am, demos start at 9.30am
• Live demonstrations all day, featuring:
- GiGi’s Dog Grooming Georgina is grooming an Asian Style Poodle with princess head
- The Poochery Dog Grooming- Cassandra is grooming a mix breed into a kerry blue style
- - Rebecca is grooming a Standard Poodle into breed standard trim with spray up
- Lisa Hart Grooming- Lisa is grooming an Asian Style Schnauzer
- - Rich is grooming Bichon in breed standard trim
- Verity Hardcastle is grooming a Cockapoo, our salon staple mix breed

And we have the wonderful Stuart Simons guiding the day as compere

I am an award winning dog groomer with over 20 years experience, I am a grooming competition judge and educator in the grooming industry.

Due to losing a few clients to re location and old age 😭 I have a few vacancies to take on new clients.

I offer cage free 1-2-1 appointments in a calm stress free environment, I am a advance level certified groomer, first aid trained and fully insured.

💜 I am currently looking for clients who want to keep their dogs in longer styles and are willing to commit to a 2-12 week grooming Schedule as recommended by myself based upon your dogs coat type and the style required.

💜 I am looking for clients who can attend mid week appointments, I’m sorry but I can not offer weekend appointments to new clients.

I would not be able able to take on…

Aggressive Dogs
Dogs with Behavioral issues while being groomed and please be honest as I will know if you have not been.
Hand stripping

It is very important to me that I have a good relationship with my clients and we are a team in looking after your dog’s coat and health.

I have limited vacancies so I would like to take on more of the breeds and styles that I specialize in.
Terriers, Schnauzers, Poodles and drop coated breeds in breed standard or Asian styles.

If your dog fits the above requirements please message me via IG or Facebook with as much information about your dog as possible and please including some recent pictures (Important) and the date they were last groomed.

You will be asked to fill in a Terms and conditions of service google form before your first appointment.

💜 Salon glow up 💜

On 3rd December it had been 5 years since I opened in this location and I have been so busy I forgot 😱🫣

So as a little treat for my happy place I have painted, scrubbed and organized every inch, I did do outside front & back and the outbuilding too but it was too dark to show you when I finished 😭

I love starting work for the year feeling fresh and organized, Lets see what adventures 2026 will bring ✨

My diary is open for block bookings and 1-2-1’s. I’ll get dates sent out from Saturday 💜

Another busy and successful year, I’m a bit rubbish at these things so have my top nine posts and my career highlight of the year, Being a speaker at Hershey while being nominated as Speaker of the year at the biggest grooming show in the world. 🤯

I went to Canada for the first time, Australia for the second and I joined the Team. 💜
I visited Scotland three times which is never enough!

I was named Speaker of the year 😱💜 An award that means more than I can ever put in to words.

Lots of people have made this year special but the ones that matter know who you are, Especially my international grooming fam 💜

See you all in the New year after I snuggle my babies while crying at the Stranger Things final, However you did 2025 as long as you got through each day in your own way it was a win 💜

I love that Asian was considered in the BIS line up as it often isn’t OR when it is, it is not placed due to not corrective grooming, however I feel Asian takes great skill to produce.

Congratulations to Emma on 1st place in under 5 years with Nancy’s brother David 🎉

Congratulations to everyone who placed. I loved supporting GTS While having some fun with Nancy’s haircut ❤️

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗟𝗧𝗛 𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗞 𝗜𝗡 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗕𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗥

It’s not the stairs.
It’s not the couch.
It’s not even the backyard.

It’s the smooth, shiny floor your pet walks on every single day.

Slippery surfaces don’t just cause the occasional slide, they quietly change how a body moves. Dogs and cats start bracing. Tensing. Adjusting their posture to avoid falling. And that constant compensation takes a toll.

We see it all the time:
• Subtle hip and lower back strain
• Tight shoulders and necks
• Arthritis flare-ups that seem to come “out of nowhere”
• Nails that grow unevenly because paws can’t grip
• Pets reluctant to walk across certain rooms

Older animals are at higher risk, but young, athletic dogs aren’t immune. Repeated slipping stresses joints and soft tissue long before limping ever appears.

And the hardest part?
Because it happens slowly, it gets blamed on age. Or breed. Or “just one of those things.”

But many of these aches start underfoot.

Animals weren’t built for polished tiles, floorboards, or laminate. When the ground doesn’t give feedback, the nervous system stays on high alert, and the body pays the price.

A few well-placed rugs, runners, or traction solutions can dramatically reduce strain and improve confidence almost overnight.

Sometimes better health doesn’t start with medication.
It starts with footing.
