Introducing Tessa π₯°
So a couple of months ago, we were approached by a lovely lady in the village and asked if we would be willing to rehome a 5 year old lab. We thought it could be a good thing for Twain to have another lab around , over 3 years years since Bessie left us ππ’.. we discussed it with Twain and might put a wee spring back in his step and knowing he wasnβt going to last forever, now might be the right time and how often do you get the gift of a lab landing on your lap ? These opportunities donβt come around often so we agreed ..she would be due to arrive end of May
Then the worst thing happened ! Our beloved Twainy took ill and we had to let him go ππ’..
Up to our necks steeped in grief once again , the last 5 weeks have been hell on earth without him π’
Went through every emotion thinking about this new dog we had committed ourselves to , was it still the right thing to do ? Is it too soon ? Could we really open our hearts again to another so close to losing the wee man π’
We decided that we could and should ! Turning our backs on her ? No that wasnβt an option we could live with
And we are so glad we did !! She is wonderful !
Comical , warm , endearing .. shows many traits of Bessie , and although thereβs still a lot of raw grief for Twain , and sadness that he never got to meet her, for the first time since the wee man left , we have felt a slither of joy ..
a new chapter of life begins now with Tessa , a 5 year old yellow bundle of fun lab ..
I know Bessie & Twain approve .. I believe they had a hand in sending her to look after us π₯²
