A HUGE day for Impi and Mchumba 🐘

It’s been an exciting week in our elephant habitat as Impi and Mchumba met the first members of their new herd!

Elephant introductions are always carefully planned by our dedicated keepers, and the two new boys were first introduced to Uli, before spending time with Sutton as they gradually got to know one another.

We’re delighted that the introductions have gone smoothly and look forward to seeing them join the rest of the herd 🐘

Keeper Camera Roll: Big cats 🦁🐯

“Hi I’m Emily, I’ve been at Noah’s Ark for just under 6 years. Over the last year our big cat facilities have changed drastically! From modifications to the dens inside the lion house; to a brand new enhanced lion habitat and of course welcoming our rescue tiger, Aqua. It’s been a really exciting time to work on the section.

Now the nicer weather is here, we’re looking forward to seeing Aqua enjoy his pool a bit more and his first summer at Noah’s Ark. Working with the cats is exhilarating, not only does it keep you on your toes, but it makes you appreciate what impressive animals they are. All 3 of our cats have completely different personalities, and it’s lovely to get to know them all on a deeper level. 🐅”
