Hand stripping is a specialised grooming technique where the dead outer coat is gently removed by hand rather than clipped. This helps to:
✨ Maintain the correct coat texture and colour
✨ Encourage healthy coat regrowth
✨ Improve skin condition

This method is ideal for many wire-coated breeds such as terriers, schnauzers, and similar coat types.

I’m pleased to say that I now offer professional hand stripping appointments as part of my grooming services. If your dog has a wire coat, feel free to get in touch to discuss whether hand stripping is suitable for them.
