Price changes from 1st April 2022

Never a pleasant topic but I find myself unable to avoid it. Due to the increase of prices for consumable grooming supplies, equipment, running costs and utilities, I'm afraid I have to let everyone know that my prices will be going up by £3 from the 1st of April.

This is my first price increase in over 5 years and I held off making it for such a long time. In the past I've done my best to absorb any increased business costs, but unfortunately that's no longer possible. It's always been my aim to keep my prices competitive and affordable for all, and I think that will still be the case after the increase.

Please do get in touch if you think this will cause problems for you and we can see if there's anything I can do to help.

All the best,
Steph.

That's it I've had my last hairy cup of tea for this year 🤣, looking forward to spending some quality time with my family, eating too much, helping with Lego builds, and probably having a few nanny naps 😜.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your support and encouragement through these crazy times.

Here's to a fabulous Christmas and New Year to all my lovely clients and furry friends.

Hoping 2022 brings us all happiness, joy, health and love.

See all you lovely people in the New Year ###

Good news everyone, they have officially announced that Dog Groomers can re-open on 29th March.

I have been going through all of your cancelled appointments and rescheduling everyone back in.

If you have not heard from me by the end of this week please drop me a message.

Really looking forward to seeing you all over the coming weeks.

A very happy Steph x

Covid Update Feb 22nd

After the PM's announcement today, it looks like there is sadly no change for us Dog Groomers until 12th April at the earliest.
The message is still "Stay at Home" for us all, with only schools reopening. Very frustrating, I know, but we must remember why we are doing this. With reports we are heading in the right direction, it would be a shame for us all to rush out of lockdown now, only to end up back in it again through the summer.

I personally want this to be the last time we have to go through a lockdown. I want to be able to go and visit my parents - who we haven't seen since last summer - and take a holiday with my family at the end of the year, and if that means a few more weeks of staring at the same 4 walls and walking around the block, then that's what I will do.

I am really sorry this isn't the news we were hoping for. No one is more disappointed than I am. I miss you all, but I hear from a few of you that you are managing OK and have even had a go yourself :)

The guidance is still the same as before - we are classed as non-essential and are to remain closed unless for welfare or vet referred appointments ONLY (ie:, coat matting, embedded nails).
With that in mind, if you feel your dog is beginning to suffer and you cannot maintain their coat at home, please get in touch and I will assess the situation individually and help as best I can.

Stay Safe, and I can't wait to see you all soon.
Steph 🐶x

Just a quick update as to where things are at the moment.

Firstly, I hope you are all well?

I had hoped the children would be going back to school after the half term, but it looks like they might be off a little while longer. I am just waiting for them to confirm at the announcement on the 22nd that children will start back on the 8th of March and I will look to rebook everyone back in starting that week.
I will be rebooking people based on the length between their last groom and whether or not they have been able to cope with the fur in that time. I'm sure a few of you have managed to get an appointment elsewhere, and that's totally fine, but if you could be honest and let me know the last time they were groomed I can rebook them for their next groom based on that date and give the earlier appointments to people who may need it a little more urgently.
The procedure for dropping off will remain the same: please use the leads outside to attach your dog to and stand back, I will pop my head out so you can advise of any changes with the dogs health, etc.

Should anyone have any concerns at all please text/message me and we can discuss, as I want you all to feel comfortable about returning.

Really looking forward to seeing you all soon and to hopefully hang up my home-schooling hat for good. :)

Stay Safe
Steph x

Aimed more at curly coat breeds:- if your dog has started to mat and the coat is starting to get away from you, please drop me a message and we can discuss.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Following this evening's Government announcement calling for another National lockdown and the closure of our schools, it is with regret that I need to inform you of my decision to cancel all appointments until February half term.

Hopefully this will just mean missing one groom for most of you, but rest assured I will endeavour to prioritise the most urgent breeds when I begin rebooking.

I will be in contact with everyone who has a groom scheduled within this period to rebook your new appointment date.

I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and I know that this will be disappointing to many of you and your canine family members, but we must all do what needs to be done in this difficult time.

Here's hoping that this is the last time we all need to go through this and that together we can beat Covid for good!

Stay safe.
Steph.

They must have heard me moaning about them.

I CAN STAY OPEN 😃

I already have social distancing in place and and it has been working well since the last lockdown. So we will just carry on as normal but obviously if you display any symptoms of this virus or are awaiting results please do not visit and contact me so we can reschedule.

Thank you very much.
A very relieved Steph 🥰

I can't believe it's taking our government this long to release a decision as to whether dog groomers can remain open.
I am so sorry to have left you in limbo and hope as tonight is the announcement they will have mentioned us and I can continue.

Thanks again for your patience

Following this evening’s announcement, I will be contacting the Pet Industry Governing body and my insurance company at the beginning of next week to find out where I stand regarding whether I will have to close or can remain open.
I will let you all know as soon as I know.
Thank you for your patience
Steph X

Dogs don't die from missing a walk now and again but they can die from heat stroke.

If you can't hold your hand on the ground without feeling the heat just think of your dogs paws.
