Le grande field switch over!

Talk through of plan through to finished dogleg as Daisy stuffs her face waiting to go back out.

Planning on using last year's field plan as it worked so well all popped into my field layout section of journal.

So she is back on a track temporarily til she eats her way to a back paddock🤣.

Tractor coming anytime from now til October to dredge the rhyme.

How's your grazing been this summer have you had to make any changes?

Love to know how you have coped with the lack of rain?

Finding those peaceful moments with Daisy! Honestly, there is so much footage in my phone right now just zero time to send it out.

Decided this morning to CHOOSE a different Sunday, I need to change things up and I began by not rushing off the yard but instead stopping for 15 minutes to Journal in my copy of and have my breakfast.

I was not expecting a companion, but it was Daisy doing her thing and helping my nervous system regulate. She such an amazing mare.

I am truly grateful.✨🐴🫶 heres a few moments.

Happy Sunday you lovey lot!
How was your Sunday?

Plaits are back....apparently! 😂 this evening someone was very hot in her stable so despite the fact it was a grey overcast day off for Miss Daisy Duke she did quite well see the last few shots.

Nothing to do with a break out spiking her metabolism😳

Nothing like a grass is greener moment! 🤔🤣 oh daisy and you know what she does not care. a fig....as far as she is concerned I have reduced her paddock and now she has nothing to eat.🫣

So we went in the arena to check she hadn’t hurt herself and check out the new gate and barn before horses go back in the other side.

Let's be fair as much as I plan, using my copy of I will always be undone by my horses mood😂 still it give you all a chuckle and me something to write about!

All in all not a very quite day off! 🤣🫣 How was your Thursday you lovely lot?

It’s time for a little tidy up I think😂 it's amazing what you can do when you are waiting and trying to keep you and your horse occupied. Saturday's job remove her plants. She looks so cute doesn't she, it's all curly@like it would be if she had been to a show.

I cannot believe how rubbish her mane is these days it used to be so thick and lovely. 😢
She has taken to rubbing most of it out on the stable wall so she has this weird gap🫣.

Every summer I plait her mane to keep her cool and this year was no different, I have just been a little busy to replait them. So she has a pamper whilst we wait and I added her rosemary and argan oil back in. I think it's slowly getting better, 🤞another chapter of growing old disgracefully Daisy.😂

I have even considered hogging it? What do you think hog or leave?

Also, any tips for a thicker mane I am all ears Drop me a message or a comment below on your favourite products.

On a better note. I am rather pleased with her weight, she's still hanging on to a bit here and there but for a semi-retired gante, she is doing well.

I know i have said it before but it really has been an incredible 18 months, she's quite fit and you can tell she's improved, there is so much more to do but like everything just a little tweak and monitor in our journal is how we roll.

Anyhoo, I thought you’d like an update from our little corner of the gram. I hope you are all well, Happy Sunday you lovely lot!

The current state of play HQ but seriously, how cute are those ears when she drinks her water and the slurping🫣

She's a horse that has always taken a drink thank God🙏 but the older she got and the more her behaviour changed I ended up down many supplement rabbit holes.

Then one day I went to a talk from calm healthy horses and boom self selection flew on to my radar.

I have always foraged from a young
age but this was the next level.. It's also Daisy’s too so well matched! 😉✨🐴💪

She loves to make a choice and regularly chooses the salt water. Now she's on a new product more about that another day and since I stopped her magnesium some days she just wants plain water others salt.

Currently blowing my brain as I love geeking out on this stuff and tracking in our journall and our pdf supplement test planner.

So along with all of us Hydration the current state of play in our world through this heatwave! 🥵

How are you all coping? Does your horse have an favourite quirks?

8 hours of light, it's the time of year when life feels like a balancing act.......its also my favourite time of year.

I get to put in the post for lots of lovely people who I have come to call because this community is growing!

I have found this year super busy, with work, managing Daisy and working full time so I can focus on family and growing this amazing business.

I just love watching the equestrian world changing every day and looking for new ways to form partnerships with both humans and their horses.

Imagine being able to understand exactly what your horse reacting to because they did it last month but because of the time before that you worked out how to manage it, and each time it gets easier. That isn't the power of this journal, evidence of how it worked gives you confidence to grow.

Shortcuts are great but we don't always remember how we got there. Reading reviewing and going again helps you inch closer to the solution. Whatever it looks like for you those little steps and things all add up.

In the last photo, it just looks like Daisy tied up, right? Actually what is going on is she's had nose-to-nose contact and now her hormones are raging. Which is why she standing on full extension of her rope in a huff. When she's in this mode she's like Kevin the teenager.

One wrong move and she’ll explode. The good thing is I worked this out a few years back and each time it happens I see the cue, notice the patterns and manage the situation.

She's a very quirky mare but a truly original and my heart horse. So we use the journal for both of us to keep finding the solution that's right for her in each season of her and my life.

I love the layering effect year on year, it's also a memento of your time together and this is our USP, why so many others do too.

Don't struggle if things aren't working out how you wanted them to, after all buying the horse is the easy bit, it's the day-to-day that trips us up isn't it?

So if you have a yard buddies, partner or are wanting a gift for yourself to begin 2025 with a bang come join the , be lovely to have you!

🙏 for all your support.

Quarterly Barefoot update! So this is a biggie for me, too much to put in this one post, I will try to condense it.

Daisy went barefoot 5 years ago now and at that time I didn't want to change anything supplement-wise til she was in more consistent work. This past year I began slowly removing things. She has just had the farrier and whilst we have reduced her cycle back to 8 weeks from 10 still longer than she used to be, he's really happy with her feet.

These past two cycles have been the best for not tripping and being more foot-perfect, but more importantly there are no event lines which I am thrilled about.

Still rock-crunching and strong as ever hands down the best decision I ever made for her taking her shoe off.

Also because she has white hooves you can always see any bruising, there is always one in her underside hind, from hock arthritis. This is finally barely noticeable.

She had her therapy rug on today and in between you can see her weight as I grabbed a quick shot. Still love her to be smaller but for a semi-retired arthritic
good-doer cobx I am pretty happy with this shot.

At 16.1 she's currently sitting at 593-601kg.

For our quarterly review, I am pretty chuffed heading into Autumn. His final words kept doing what you are doing she's looking great! So went back on too - another game changer for Daisy's hooves 3 times a week outside only.

I have logged it into the farrier section in my and am ready for the last quarter review in December just in time for the 2025 new Horse organiser diary!🙌🎉

Today I came across this and to be fair I think it's important to sign and share.

So if you have 5 minutes give it a read a see if you can support it too!

Heartbreaking, that Farmers are put in this position, this is a national park and they are native to the area.💔✨🐴

I hope you can help.
