🐾 Amity Open Day – Come & Say Hello! 🐾

If you’ve been thinking about booking with us, are curious to see what we’re all about, or would simply like to come and meet the team, we’d love to welcome you to the salon this Saturday, 25th July!

🗓️ Saturday, 25th July
🕙 10:00am – 2:00pm

Bring your dogs along too! We’ll have the paddling pool, splash pad and bubble machine set up, so it’s a lovely opportunity for them to have some fun, cool off, and enjoy a little socialising with other friendly dogs while you have a look around and a chat with us.

Come along, explore the salon, ask any questions, and discover what makes Amity a little different.

Look at his new groom style! 😍

Little man’s first groom back was a lot of desensitising and making him comfortable in the new salon and having me as his groomer again after a year and a half as he had moved further away… so his first groom was prioritising his comfort and deshedding his long double coat!

By his second groom he’s back on his monthly schedule and he was much more relaxed and happy during the full deshed groom and we love his new style! 🤩

🌞 Heatwave Appointments at Amity Grooming Salon 🌞

The welfare of the pets in my care will always be my number one priority.

Now that the salon has air conditioning, I plan to remain open during periods of hot weather wherever it is safe to do so. However, as forecasts can change, I may need to make adjustments to the diary closer to the time to ensure appointments are arranged in the safest way possible.

During heatwaves, I may open the salon earlier than usual to accommodate larger dogs and thick or double-coated breeds in the coolest part of the day, as these pets can be at greater risk from the heat. Smaller dogs, cats and rabbits may then be scheduled later in the morning where appropriate. Regardless of appointment time, I ask that all pets travel to and from the salon in an air-conditioned vehicle wherever possible. I would strongly discourage walking pets to the salon or having them wait outside during periods of extreme heat. If you are unable to transport your pet safely in an air-conditioned vehicle, I would much rather postpone and rearrange your appointment for cooler weather than put your pet at unnecessary risk.

Because of this, appointment times—and occasionally appointment days—may need to change closer to your booking depending on the weather forecast. I’ll always give as much notice as possible and do my very best to accommodate everyone while keeping your pet’s welfare at the heart of every decision.

If at any point you feel your pet would be more comfortable postponing their appointment, I completely understand and will be more than happy to rearrange it.

Thank you for your understanding and support. My goal is always to provide the safest, calmest and most comfortable experience for every pet, both in the salon and during their journey to and from it. 🤍
