Six days old and finding her feet,
Little Neferati, (Nef-er-rar-tee), soft and sweet.
With strengthening legs and a curious gaze,
She’s growing more confident day by day.

Each little step grows stronger with pride,
With beautiful Jasmine close by her side.
Her fleece is soft as the evening sky,
With gentle dark eyes and ears held high.

Well… almost both ears, it has to be said,
One still prefers to flop over instead!
But she’s thriving, growing, and full of charm,
Safe in her mumma’s watchful calm.

Tiny today, but not for long,
Already she’s graceful, steady, and strong.
And here at Faster Lente, we already can see,
What a lovely llama she’s going to be ###

There is something surprisingly calming about spending time around llamas 🦙

No rush. No noise. No pressure to constantly be doing something. Just open countryside 🌿, fresh air 🍃, gentle animals, and a chance to properly slow down for a while ☕

I’ve just written a new blog exploring why llama interactions in the UK countryside can feel so relaxing, and why more people are choosing quieter countryside escapes over busy getaways, especially at a time when overseas travel is becoming increasingly stressful and expensive, with rising fuel costs and ongoing disruption affecting flights and holidays ✈️

From peaceful Fenland views 🌾 to the nearby North Norfolk coast 🌊, sometimes the best breaks are the simplest ones 🏕️

Read the full blog here.

Spending time in nature has long been linked with relaxation and wellbeing, but in recent years, many people across the UK have discovered something a little more unusual helping them slow down — llamas. At places like Glamping with Llamas in West Walton, just outside of Wisbech, guests often arriv...

I rang my mentor, Tristan, of Norfolk Bees after hearing and seeing thousands of honeybees outside among the huge willow tree branches and flying in and out of our colony areas. 🐝🌿

Thinking we were about to lose a swarm, I called for advice. Tristan arrived very shortly afterwards with his kit to take a look.🐝

He mentioned, completely stunned, that in his seven years of keeping bees, he had never seen so many bees in one colony that had not already swarmed. 😮

Even more surprisingly, he couldn’t find any swarm cells, and the queen is still actively laying eggs, meaning the colony is continuing to grow. 👑🥚

To help manage the colony, we split part of it into another nearby hive and will likely be splitting again over the next couple of days into additional hives close by. 🍯🏡

Take a look at the photos and video below — the sheer number of bees is incredible. 🐝🐝🐝

More honey for our glampers, neighbours and friends then :)
