🐾 BOARDING SPACE AVAILABLE – 11th to 20th August 🐾

This doesn’t happen very often, but we’ve had an unexpected change to our bookings, which means we now have boarding availability between 11th and 20th August.

If you’re one of our existing Stay & Play families and you’ve been thinking about a last-minute break, now’s your chance!

We also have a few daycare spaces available over the coming weeks if your dog fancies a fun day with us.

If you’d like to book, just send us a message as soon as you can. Once these spaces are gone, they’ll be gone!

☀️ 🌅🕶️ We've been a little quiet... and for good reason! ☀️

If you've been wondering where we've disappeared to over the last few weeks, the simple answer is... we've been busy looking after our wonderful guests!

With the incredible spell of hot weather we've had, every decision we've made has been about keeping the dogs safe, happy and comfortable.

💦 Plenty of paddling pool fun
🌳 Lots of shade and cool resting spots
🚶‍♀️ Walks planned around the cooler parts of the day
💧 Fresh water available all day
❤️ Lots of individual care, cuddles and monitoring

Our social media has taken a back seat because the dogs have always been our priority, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

We've taken loads of photos over the last few weeks, so we'll be sharing some of our favourite moments soon.

🐾 A little catch-up from us! 🐾

We’ve been a bit quiet on Facebook over the last few weeks… but that’s only because we’ve been busy doing what we love most – looking after lots of wonderful dogs! ❤️

We’ve got so many lovely photos to share, so over the next few days we’ll be posting some of our favourite moments from recent stays. From playtime and paddock adventures to relaxing in the sunshine and making new friends, it’s been a fantastic few weeks.

A huge thank you to everyone who continues to trust us with your dogs. It really does mean the world to us, and we’re so grateful for all your recommendations and support.

We’re delighted to say that July is now fully booked. Thank you to everyone who has reserved their dog’s holiday with us!

If you’re thinking about boarding later in the summer or towards autumn, we’d recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later, as availability is starting to fill.

🐾 Stay and Play Boarding – Frequently Asked Questions 🐾

We know leaving your dog somewhere new is a big decision, so here are some of the questions we get asked most often 🐶

📍 Where are you based?
We are located in West Kilbride, North Ayrshire, on a secure 10-acre smallholding with multiple fenced exercise paddocks.

🐕 What type of dogs do you accept?
We specialise in dogs who are comfortable socialising and being around other dogs in a calm, supervised environment. We understand not every dog is playful or outgoing all of the time, and that’s absolutely fine — but dogs must be able to mix safely, interact appropriately and make friends without aggressive or biting behaviour.

💙 Do dogs need to be neutered?
We prefer neutered males, however younger dogs and some exceptions may be accepted following discussion.

🐶 Do you take puppies?
Yes — we are happy to take puppies and younger dogs where suitable.

🌿 How much exercise do dogs get?
Dogs enjoy regular supervised exercise throughout the day, including off-lead play in our secure paddocks and calmer spaces for dogs who prefer gentler exercise.

🏡 What makes you different?
We are a small kennels with a maximum of 16 dogs, allowing us to provide individual attention, structured social interaction and lots of outdoor enrichment.

📋 Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — we are fully licensed by North Ayrshire Council and fully insured.

💉 What vaccinations are required?
All dogs must be fully vaccinated including kennel cough.

🍖 What should I bring?
Please bring your dog’s food, treats, vaccination card and anything that helps them feel at home such as bedding or toys.

🛏️ Do you offer trial stays?
Yes — all first-time dogs attend an initial visit and, if suitable, receive a free overnight settling stay.

💷 Prices
• Boarding — £35 per night
• Two dogs sharing — £50 per night
• Daycare — £25 per dog
• Two dogs daycare — £40

⏰ Daycare Hours
• Drop off from 8:00am
• Collection by 6:30pm

⏰ Boarding Collections
• Collection by 9:30am the following morning
• Later collections are charged at the daycare rate

🎄 Please note: we are now closed over Christmas and New Year.

📅 Holiday periods can book up quickly, so early booking is recommended.

Welcome to Stay and Play Boarding — a small, friendly and outdoor-focused dog boarding experience based in West Kilbride.

Set on our secure 10-acre smallholding, we focus on calm, enriching days with plenty of supervised outdoor time, social interaction and individual care. With a maximum of just 16 dogs, every guest gets lots of attention and space to enjoy themselves. 🌿🐶
