🤍 Pebbles and Jet 🖤 are back for their neutering

Welcome back to kittens Pebbles and Jet. Some of you may recognise them from quite a few posts ago 💕

These two cheeky chaps came in for their neutering. As you can see, they were far less concerned with that and much more interested in destroying their beds! 🛌

No sign or towel went unchewed or was spared claws marks between the two of them 😂

But they certainly were an entertaining pair 🥰

A Massive Thank You 🥳

A huge thank you to this lovely owner for getting the staff a little thank you present for helping look after her dog Bella 💓

Bella's post can be seen from earlier in the year about her journey with diabetes. It is very informative so be sure to scroll down to find her and her very distinct black eye patch 🖤🤍

Our staff are dedicated to the wellbeing of every animal that walks through our doors. Therefore, kind gestures like these help keep us motivated and remind us why we work so very hard 😊 💪

🌼 Daisy 🌼

Daisy was clearly unfazed by her surgery last week as you can see her enjoying the sunshine in our garden afterwards trying to run around! 😂

This is quite remarkable considering she had an orthopoedic procedure called a CCWO (Cranial Closing Wedge Osteotomy) performed on her hind leg 🦵

This procedure stabilises the knee after a cranial cruciate ligament rupture (one of the ligaments that stabilises the knee) 🦴

Daisy was such a trooper and we look forward to seeing her continue her healing progress 🥰

No kittens for little Mia 🐈‍⬛️

This very sweet little girl came in to be spayed 🤍

Visiting the vets can be scary but Mia took everything in her stride and only asked that we repay her with all the love and scratches after waking up from her anaesthetic 🤎

We hope Mia continues to recover well from her procedure!

Meet Gus the 6 year old red labrador who came in for his platelet rich plasma treatment 😁

This is a procedure performed under general anaesthetic and Gus had it done to both if his elbows. This treatment is used to promote healing and reduce pain in joints affected by osteoarthritis 🦴

Blood is collected before the procedure and spun down to separate part of the blood called platelets. These are then injected back into the affected joint 🩸💉

This can take more than one session but is an amazing procedure with the potential to improve a dogs long term happiness and welfare 😊

Marni has his tummy troubles fixed 🩺

Marni the 1 year old poodle cross came in with bloody diarrhoea and vomiting 😕

After a few nights in hospital with our dedicated team of vets and nurses, Marni gradually improved 👏

Diarrhoea can take time to fix so it did take some time ⏲️

He is now a happy healthy young dog and we always look forward to seeing him pop in 💕

🐢 Samson the tortoise still going strong 💪

Samson the tortoise was born in 1919 just after the first world war. That means he lived through the entire of the second world war and is a grand total of 106 years old 😮

He visited us at Arthur Lodge for a microchip check and we were all so happy to have such an icon join us 💕
