Mimram Veterinary Centre can be found at 31 Church Street in Welwyn. The building itself is about 150 years old and has a somewhat interesting past during which time it has served as, amongst other things, a police station and a butchers. There has been a veterinary practice in the beautiful, historic village of Old Welwyn for 20 years. Since 2017, Mimram Vets has been proud to call itself a VetPa

Being part of this large veterinary group has allowed the team to continue giving the same exceptional clinical care to our clients and their pets while enjoying the unrivalled support of a truly compassionate, wider team who share our values. Our Team of six vets and six nurses have a wealth of experience between them and their continued learning and development means that you have access at all times to the most up to date veterinary care on offer. An adult female Cocker Spaniel has been brought in after being found at the BP garage in Welwyn.

She has no collar and, although she is microchipped, unfortunately there are no registered details linked to the chip.

The Dog Warden has been contacted.

🐾 CAN YOU HELP US FIND THE OWNER? 🐾

A young black and white female cat has been brought into us after being found at the Longcroft Allotments in Welwyn Garden City.

She has reportedly been hanging around the allotments for the last few days. She is pregnant, and unfortunately she has no collar and no microchip.

We’d really like to reunite her with her owner before making any further arrangements for her.

🌡️ ☀️ HOT WEATHER WARNING ☀️ 🌡️

With temperatures expected to be very high for the next few days, we’d kindly ask clients to consider whether your pet’s appointment is essential — especially during the middle of the day.

Travelling in cars with dogs, especially our flat faced breeds and cats in plastic carriers can be uncomfortable and potentially unsafe due to the risk of heatstroke ☀️ 🌡️

If your appointment is non-urgent, such as certain vaccinations, 6 month health checks, flea and worm check ups and weight checks and you would prefer to rearrange, please give us a call as soon as possible and we’ll be happy to discuss and help reschedule. ☎️

If you do need to attend your appointment, please ensure pets are transported in a pre air-conditioned car and cats should have as much ventilation in their carriers as possible, and we kindly ask that dogs are not walked to the surgery during the heat of the day.

Thank you for your understanding, and please take care to keep all pets cool and hydrated in the heat. 🐾 🥵

🚨🐱 FOUND KITTEN – PLEASE SHARE! 🐱🚨

Approx. 10-week-old female tortoiseshell kitten found this evening on London Road, Welwyn.

She is very friendly and is currently safe with a member of the public.

We will scan her for a microchip tomorrow morning and are hoping to reunite her with her owner as soon as possible.

We have had an unneutered male Spaniel brought to us after being found this morning in Hawbush Rise, Welwyn.

🐶 Black & white
🐶 Senior
🐶 Friendly
🐶 Wearing a blue collar
🐶 Microchipped, but unfortunately the chip is not registered

He will be going to the dog warden today if he is not reunited with his owner before then.

🐱 Does anyone recognise this lovely young cat? 🐱

This small young female white cat has been hanging around Evergreen Close, Woolmer Green for the past few weeks.

She has two different coloured eyes, isn’t wearing a collar, and although she is microchipped, sadly the chip is not registered, so we’ve been unable to trace an owner.
