Just some reminders for ALL dog owners ..... It is not worth risking your dog's life just for a walk!

Can we please remind people about the dangers of walking dogs in such hot weather. Extreme heat can be fatal. No one wants to be out in a fur coat with bare feet in temperatures like these, yet that is what you are making your dog do. They have no choice when they are dragged into the outdoors on a lead. They literally cook from the inside out - does that sound pleasant?! Please leave the walks for cooler parts of the day. It doesn't dven matter if you miss walkies altogether. It's better to have a healthy dog than no dog at all.

Do not presume that just because it is cloudy it is not hot. On taking this photo now it is still 22 degrees Celsius and getting too hot for walkies!

It's going to be another extremely hot day today. Do NOT walk your dog in temperatures higher than 24 degrees Celsius. Please walk them during cooler parts of the day. Heatstroke and heat exhaustion can happen to any dog and can be fatal. It is better to miss a walk than see your pet suffer.

Just a reminder ....
If the temperature outside is hotter than 23 degrees Celsius, please do NOT take your dog outside for a walk. Especially not on a hot pavement or tarmac. Anything over 20 degrees Celsius can be fatal for short-nosed breeds when there is no shade

Just a reminder .....
SALON POLICY FOR GROOMING SAFETY IN HOT WEATHER

Please note that while every precaution is taken
to ensure the safety of your pet during their time with us, NO GROOMING will take place if the temperature in the salon exceeds 25 degrees Celsius. (Checked by thermometer inside). This applies to ALL dogs.
To protect our short-nosed clients such as Pugs, Frenchies and Shih Tzus, those with heart problems, overweight or senior dogs, grooming will stop at 20 degrees Celsius.
Grooming may continue if the temperature drops but please be aware that owners may be called to pick up their dogs early otherwise. If this is the case, we apologise for any inconvenience, but the health of the dog comes first.
