So excited to see some pea pods in my yard planter. Enough for a little snack in between yard chores for the last few days. The horses do not have access to these!! 😂

Chilled afternoon wander with one of my best friends ever. Grazing whatever she wants/chooses. She deserves it. ❤️❤️

Steady introductions with our lovely new livery Bella sharing with existing livery, Midnight.

Putting hay under fence/barrier lines is a great way to start horses who have not been in a herd learn to share food.

These initial stages are great to help you observe behaviour and work out the next step. I never have a plan when introducing new horses to the herd. Watch, learn and try to make intuitive decisions for your herd❤️🐴

This is our mostly pony proof way of offering a variety of supplements in water. Using mangers on the water troughs is great for many reasons.

We definitely know that the horse is choosing that particular water as they are in such close proximity to their drinking water.

The ponies do not tip, lift or knock them which means they have permanent access to them and saves waste. We would spend time and money on herbs etc. only to find the cheeky ones could just spill it all one way or another (not shaming you but we’re looking at you Rolo)!

Here is Jimmy choosing whether he would like to drink, have some salt water or peppermint water and a photo of Rolo, King of throwing buckets around the yard!🐴💕😂

We all love this photo of new boy Dusty providing hay to Midi whilst she was in the arena with her owner. Captions suggested so far - “Neigh-bourly support”, “Meals on hooves”, “A happy snack-cident”, “Hay there girl” and the musical “Hay hay we’re the horses 🎶
And people say we horse around 🎶”

Further suggestions welcome 😂
