We are thrilled to announce that Cheryl is currently completing her Level 2 Dog Grooming qualification at Bicton College!
Starting from Friday, March 14th, she will be offering the following grooming services on a Friday at Alexandra’s Groom Room, with me overseeing and supporting her:

🐾 Bathing and Drying
🐾 Bath & De-shedding
🐾 Brush Through
🐾 Nail Trimming

A Bit About Cheryl

Cheryl’s experience with dogs spans a variety of breeds, including collies (both rough-haired and border), terriers, a silver standard poodle, and now, a Doberman. When she was 16, Cheryl successfully showed the family’s Great Dane, although Crufts remained just out of reach.

For the past 10 years, Cheryl worked for Verm-X, qualifying as an SQP (Registered Animal Medicines Advisor). However, with the company relocating, she embraced a career change. What better way to spend her days than with dogs? Cheryl is currently training at Bicton College and is thoroughly enjoying every moment of it.

She looks forward to meeting you and your dogs soon! 🐾

✂️🐩Meet Your Groomer Monday ✂️ 🐩

Hello, I’m Lauren… the proud owner of Alexandra’s Groom Room based on Mantle street in Wellington.

I have always had a strong passion for animals due to growing up with them always around me at a very young age. Whether it was horses,dogs or cats there was always a beloved family companion around.

I found my love for grooming after my aunt got her first standard poodle Trolak which coincided with me doing my level 2. That was it, I was hooked! Hence why I then decided to have a poodle companion of my own - Pluto (pictured with me) he’s my rock and I wouldn’t be without him and his cheeky lovable ways. I also have a very affectionate feline friend whom I have shared all of my teens and adult life with called Bella age 19!

So why Alexandra? This is because it is a family name that has come from my father’s side and felt it had a good ring to it.

At Alexandra’s Groom Room I pamper both Cats and Dogs which I strive to provide the best care for during their visits whilst also using superior products and equipment because I believe our companions deserve it!

🐾 I’m a Cancerian🦀 ♋️ born in the Chinese year of the 🐕

🐾 When I was younger I used to do swimming galas,play Piano and Clarinet

🐾 My favourite comfort drink is dark mint hot chocolate even in summer 😆

🐾 Earthy colours are my favourite
