Another Terracotta Restoration, tiles were striped and deep cleaned along with the grout. Then sealed the traditional way by hand with boiled linseed oil and then topped with a coat of wax. It is a lot of work but the results are so much nicer and it gives a lovely natural warm glow to the floor !! 🥰

An interesting Travertine job this week 🙂 A partition wall had been removed in this utility area and the previous owner had done make shift repair of the floor. We managed to source some matching tiles and removed and replaced all the damaged areas. Then a full clean and reseal was done of the kitchen and utility rooms. It's great when you can repair a floor that has been annoying clients for ages and make it look amazing again😎😁👍

Slate restoration job, client wanted a glossy finish 😊 bit of a labour of love this one, as the floor had been previously sealed in polyurethane which is a nightmare to remove and now banned !! If you look closely at the finished picture you can see flecks in the slate which is Pyrite more commonly known as fools gold. It’s quite unusual to find in Slate but you see it quite a bit around the Winkleigh / Dolton area in Devon 😉👍

Interesting job this week, deep cleaning and re-sealing this Blue Lias stone floor. Blue lias is mainly found in the Westcountry and South Wales and today only a few remaining quarries still quarry this stone. It's a combination of limestone and shale and can be seen in many houses and gardens locally 😊
