You're already thinking about the bangs. Your dog hasn't heard them yet.
If last year's fireworks were difficult, the approach of November can leave you watching the calendar and wondering how they'll cope this time.
Give yourself time to prepare. Speak to your vet about previous fear, make a familiar retreat available and plan who can be home with your dog on noisy evenings.
Fireworks aren't confined to one night. Think about the weeks ahead and check what is expected locally, while allowing for unexpected displays too.
At Foxy & Ruby, dog-conscious living means thinking about the home from your dog's point of view. This is a good time to begin.

Look around your home for a moment.

Most of it has been chosen with us in mind.

The fragrance we like.
The cleaning products we use.
The flooring and furniture.
Even the temperature we find comfortable.

But our dogs live in that same space, much closer to the floors, fabrics and surfaces than we are.

So when you look around your home, ask yourself one simple question:

How much of it was chosen with your dog in mind too?

There’s a quiet kind of doubt that comes with caring deeply.
Not because you’ve done anything wrong.
But because you’re not completely sure.
You choose what looks natural.
You trust what sounds safe.
And still… you wonder.
Is this actually okay for them?
That question isn’t a problem.
It’s a sign you care.
And often, it’s what leads to better choices.

Dirty Dog Diaries: A typical Saturday in the Life of me!

• Foxy rolls in something unidentifiable (but very enthusiastic)
• Muddy paw prints track across the hallway rug
• Arnie growls at Mabel who ignores him.
• And just as I sit down with a cup of tea, the fox poo aroma kicks in
Sound familiar?
We get dirty dogs. That’s why our shampoo bars aren’t just pretty scents and promises. They’re real-deal dirt busters made for real-deal pet lovers.
Whether it’s Mucky Pup, Woof Wash, Bug Off or Fluff & Buff, each bar is designed for a different kind of mess , but with the same heart-led care.
No more struggling with giant bottles, slippery hands, or “WHAT EVEN IS THAT SMELL?” panic.
Just a bar. A bath. And a dog who comes out cleaner, softer, and surprisingly calm.
