๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Updates

Wath
(Debs, Devan, Julie, Anna, Billy and Tammy)
After a few releases last weekend we had a couple of places so we had -
Sultana came in from Gipsy Green lane, Wath. Marie found Sultana OITD and was only 227g.
She had a terrible capillaria burden and sadly went over the hedgie ๐ŸŒˆ bridge on Friday. You fought so hard, sorry we couldnโ€™t save you little in ๐Ÿ˜ข
Little Dave 2 came in from Clifton Park, Rotherham at 98g. He has a tiny cut on a back leg and green poo.
He has settled down with some meds and TLC and is 133g already.
Fidget came in from Cathryn at Medivets wath. Fidget has suffered lack of food and water , too much so came out for help, but it was too much too late for the little fella and heโ€™s passed safe warm and loved๐Ÿ˜ข๐ŸŒˆ
Oreo was OITD in Rawmarsh
And was 134g. He has really struggle to realise that mum isnโ€™t there and he needs to eat. Day 3 after loosing weight, he finally gets it and is back up to 130g today.
Come on Oreo get with the program Eat,Sleep ๐Ÿ’ฉ Repeat.
Denise from Waverley 487g, is not a well hedgie and struggling. Meds and tests done but no clear reasons for his general health being so low. TLC and a check up with the vets next week, if heโ€™s not any better.
Grogu 209g was found by Julie. He has a small wound on a leg but other than that, heโ€™s doing well. ๐Ÿ‘
Wee Nibbles came in from Waverley at 108g. A very good weight for this 16-20 day old Hoglet.
Sadly mum was killed on the road and 2 of the siblings perished, but thanks to the quick actions of the finders, she has survived the first 48 hours of gentle rehydration
So now time to get some food down her and then she will be stable enough to come out of the incubator ๐Ÿฅฐ
Pinky is a big girl in a big girl nursery cage but has been split from perky and Rockette as she was thriving more than them. โญ๏ธ
Perky and Rockette are now in a nursery cage with Rockette as they adjust to not having the incubator for support. They are doing well, good progress so far ๐Ÿ’•
Duncan is starting to get fur on his body and is looking podgy. So cute ๐Ÿฅฐ
Jeffโ€™s abscess is looking so much better and healing.
Good progress again this week from Jeff. ๐Ÿ‘
Jess has had her best week yet. Good girl ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ
Lucky Luke get to go home very soon ๐ŸŽ‰
Peaches is sounding better than when he came in and is no longer limping ๐Ÿ‘

Update from Chelle

First up, thank you to Kate for the donation of an outdoor hutch and to Johnny, Coral, and Olivia for the hedgehog house.

Sunday night saw a knock on my door - a neighbour with an injured hedgehog in a box. Slightly swollen face that is being treated with meds. Francis is doing ok.

Prickles Norton has reached release weight, so will be wild and free tonight. Considering how poorly he was, at one point, this is amazing news.

Also, going wild and free this weekend is Jace. His eye is fine now, and he is desperate to go, completely trashing his cage as soon as it is cleaned.

The Deepcar 3 are doing great. All 3 are increasing in weight. The biggest, DC Nat, is nearly at release weight already. DC Spike and DC Harry are lagging behind a bit, but they are still doing well.

Update from Christa in Worsbrough: Buddy2 is doing well, a very quiet and clean little hog, now sitting at 425g and being released Sunday. Dancer is such a curious little thing, heโ€™s doing well and is up at 405g, also going for release on Sunday. Xx

Update from Hickleton; Miltonโ€™s wound is still being stubborn ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿคžfor better progress this week. The churchyard three are making steady progress. Bellieโ€™s new spines are looking fabulous and with a little more weight gain this special little clanger will be tasting freedom ๐Ÿ˜Š

Elsecar inmates
Mizuna n Rayda released
Rayda my biggest success to date
After 3 weeks of not eating, drinking or pooing I was keeping him alive and throwing everything at him including a vet visit. He turned the corner started eating n could be released although he is staying around getting free food and board
Tiny is scheduled release Sunday just needs 13 g more
Bruce after an awful start is gaining nicely nearing release weight
Harriet , Dinan ,Mr Prickles and Harry coming along nicely

Rebecca at Conisbrough

The 4 of 6 Michael, Mel, Linda and Lianne are slow and steady and reaching there goal weight nicelyโ€ฆ.
Mr Pickles he just eats sleeps and repeated like a good one.
BlackBerry had a dip for 2 nights and is a fussy eater but weโ€™re back on track. I just love this little prickler.
Tom and Dick literally finish there wet and poo ๐Ÿ’ฉ in the biscuitsโ€ฆโ€ฆ
And Herbert didnโ€™t wake up one morning. Just like thatโ€ฆโ€ฆ. Gutted as he was a lovely little fluffyโ€ฆโ€ฆ

Dave and Pat in Swinton

June and Titch released last night into the safe gardens of their finders. They were both a good weight and will be watered and fed.
Gilbert McSqueaker was released Saturday night into a safe garden and has been seen making friends with the resident hedgehogs. ๐Ÿฆ” Being fed and watered there too.
Annabell is being released tonight into our garden. All such character and will be missed.
Just waiting for Horaceโ€™s finder to get in touch so he can be released- heโ€™s a massive 840gs and will enjoy his freedom again when he goes.

Update from Liz in Wombwell.
Little Ted is getting bigger. Was 337g about this time last week. He's now 404g. Not long now Ted..
Daisy is 964g and still has a ridge of dry skin on her nose from ringworm that we really want gone so she can go free.

Alannah update:
Matthew has made a full recovery! So happy bless him. Heโ€™s nearly at release weight - should be wild and free next week
Bea is getting along fine - definitely scabbing over and sheโ€™s so big she barely fits in the weighing scales ๐Ÿ˜‚ but not fully healed yet so sheโ€™ll be with me some while longer.

Update from Joanne โ€“ Kimberworth
Last weekend Elderflower weighed 559g when she was released back to her finder. Go wild, Elderflower, and enjoy your freedom ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฆ”
Jeremy weighed 337g last week heโ€™s now a whopping 426g. He certainly knows how to make his presence known โ€” he likes to huff, puff and pop whenever you go near him! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿ’จ But underneath all that attitude, heโ€™s doing really well.
Jemima arrived with me on Saturday to feed up weighing just 181g. This week sheโ€™s up to 256g โ€” a fantastic gain in such a short time. Sheโ€™s such a sweet little thing and is doing brilliantly.

Updates from Sean Kimberworth Park Base

Intakes
In on Wednesday from Springfield Vets I had Podkin a 834g male that had been attacked by a dog , a massive wound from right ear down his neck and 4 puncture wounds to his back , his wound was sewn up and sent to me with meds

Harold is keeping us entertained by redecorating his cage and then finding a new hiding spot each morning,heโ€™s very picky with his food,heโ€™s certainly a character ๐Ÿฆ”

This week's hedgie update from Helen in Wombwell.

Henry and Lucky have been released into two lovely gardens.

Kimmy's weigh is going up but in slow single digits. New habit this week of peeing in her food bowl ๐Ÿคฎ which isn't really helping. C'mon lass, let's have some 10g+ gains and you can be free in a week.

Hollie now back in my care after a few days at hogspital for treatment. Yoyoing weight still but getting there.

Melon and Kendra both fattening up nicely.

Spike2 is a very angry young hoglet. He hisses like he's possessed and "pops" when you touch him. Great defence tactics but ouch, I'm trying to help ๐Ÿคฃ adding weight so all good.

Update from Michelle.
Last weekend I picked up the adorable Sporty & Posh, 2 of the Spice girls that were hand reared by Chief P. They have settled in well and both gained a little since they arrived. Hopefully I can get them to a good release weight over the coming weeks ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ˜€

If there are any local businesses that would like to help out with prizes for raffles etc
We would gratefully appreciate it.
The more we can raise, the more hedgehogs we can save and add new carers to our team.
This summer has seen hedgehogs suffering terribly and our numbers have tripled.
If you would like to donate please comment or get in touch ๐Ÿฆ”โญ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ”

๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฅฐ Inmate updates ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฆ”
A little late today but these are the updates for the wath hogspital base
(Debs,Devan,Julie,Anna, Billy)
Also welcome to Tammy, who is starting tomorrow. Good luck with the ๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿ’ฉ

Monday we had Pinky and Perky found all alone and no mummy ๐Ÿฆ”
They were found by staff at Sofology, Parkgate, Rotherham. Yes right near the roundabout , all those busy roads, traffic, public. How mum ended up making a nest there is a miracle. Anyway 53g Perky and 63g Pinky are soon really well and have now been joined by their sister Rockette, who was found Wednesday.
Thank you to the amazing staff who stopped children โ€œplayingโ€ with, then and getting them straight to rescue. You are such a lovely bunch.
Archie joined the inmates as he was a teeny at only 86g OITD near New York stadium, Rotherham. Heโ€™s had a very good night, eaten lots and added weight.
Thank you to the finders for getting the help it desperately needed. Dad and son are also going back to check for other siblings.
Harold was found on Helenโ€™s drive in Newhill, Wath and is only 130g. A check with the amazing Cathryn and team at
Medivet he didnโ€™t have fly strike, just a few too many fleas and no mum.
He had settled in well and added weight.
Duncan has a fur issue, he doesnโ€™t have any fur. ๐Ÿ˜ณ he is growing up so quickly though, from teeny Hoglet striding into the juvvie stage.๐Ÿฅฐ
Harry T has had a good week, and is ready for a bit lads cage. Well done Harry ๐Ÿ‘
Posh and Sporty have excelled with weight gains and are now in big girl cages. ๐Ÿฅฐ
Little Jeff still has abscess issues but he does love his whiskas kitten pouches ๐Ÿฅฐ
Dinan is now in a big lads cage, he refuses to eat wet food and will only entertain kitten biscuits. But heโ€™s adding weight ๐Ÿ‘
Jess is very slow but steady ๐Ÿ‘
Hollie has made improvements and adding weight. ๐Ÿ‘
Lucky Luke is an absolute pain in the prickles who Yo-Yos the whole week up and down. If he stayed steady and made good gains he could be wild and free.๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

Thank you for all the donations that have come in this week. We appreciate your support.
