With the sunshine ☀️ making an appearance (hooray!), we wanted to share our hot weather protocols to ensure all dogs in our care stay safe, cool, and comfortable during the warmer months.

Here’s what we’ve put in place:

• Walks may be shortened to avoid overheating.

• Pick-up and drop-off times (for group walks) may be adjusted slightly to avoid the hottest parts of the day.

• Our secure field is equipped with shaded areas, fresh water, paddling pools, and cooling mats to help dogs regulate their temperature.

• Gentle enrichment or shaded rest time may replace high-energy play when the temperature rises.

• If we feel it’s too hot to safely travel or be outside – even at the field – we will cancel our group walk sessions and notify you immediately, daycare will still run as normal but without walks.
