We’ve had an incredible end to the year with our End of Year Championship Finale and Christmas Dressage ✨

Competing in front of an audience and a judge is a huge achievement and an important step in preparing riders for the future of the equestrian world. It tests skill, confidence, and capability, and everyone rose to the challenge.

👏 Well done to all riders — you should be very proud!

🏆 Still time to book onto the End of Year Championship Finale .... tomorrow! 🏆

You don’t need to have attended the championship lessons previously. As long as you can walk, trot, canter, and ride a course of poles or jumps, you’re welcome to enter.

Mud reality 👀

Winter can be harsh, mud, bogs, rain, and more wet than dry, but our horses don’t mind.

They may not be spotless every day, but they are genuinely happy. Why? Because they get to be horses, turned out every day to roam, play, and explore, just as nature intended. No pens, no tiny paddocks—just the freedom of established herds, where friendships and horsey adventures happen naturally.

There is one exception: Maestro. We suspect that in his younger years he wasn’t properly socialised and can be a bit field-aggressive, so he spends time alone. But he’s still happy—he loves grooming his friends over the fence, sharing little moments in his own way.

Winter might be messy, but for horses, a little mud is part of the magic.

A huge thank you to the Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust for awarding one of our SEN riders, Evie, with a bursary to use toward riding sessions at the centre.

Thank you to Evies mum Balloons By Stacey who supports the centre endlessly throughout the year . ❤️

"Evie started riding three years ago feeling nervous and anxious, but from day one the centre’s staff helped her feel safe and supported, using their experience working with children with additional needs.

Through lessons, friendships, and time spent around horses, her confidence has grown beyond anything we could have imagined. Horses truly bring Evie calm and joy.

With the centre’s support, Evie has gone on to compete at regional level—qualifying 1st—and then nationally, where she placed 3rd. She continues her journey through online dressage.

We are endlessly grateful to the riding centre and to the Chloe and Liam Trust bursary, which enables Evie to ride more often and continue thriving."
