Today I've had the privilege of spending the morning with the very lovely Vicky Welsh, exceptional dog behaviourist from Have a Good Dog. I had the honor of guesting at her puppy classes to help new dog owners understand the importance of early grooming introductions. 🐾🐾🐾

🐾 A little update on Beau 🐾
Following Beau’s journey reminded me exactly why a dog-led approach matters so much.
Beau had his home visit this week as he finds car travel frightening — therefore we chose a familiar, safe space where he could truly relax. And the difference was incredible 🥰
He was happy, settled, and far more at ease than ever before. So much so that, for the first time ever, I was able to trim his feet — something that just hadn’t been possible previously.
When we listen to dogs and adapt to their needs, amazing things happen. Progress doesn’t come from forcing — it comes from trust, patience, and meeting them where they feel safest 💛
Well done, Beau. I’m so proud of you 🐶✨

🐾 Dog-led grooming for our golden oldies 🐾
Meet Elmo 🤍 — a beautiful 15-year-old Shih Tzu who reminds us why dog-led grooming matters so much.
For Elmo, comfort comes first. He chooses to lay on his mat for the entire groom, allowing him to feel safe, supported, and relaxed every step of the way. No rushing, no forcing — just listening to him and working at his pace 🥰
Senior dogs deserve patience, understanding, and kindness. When we let dogs lead the process, grooming becomes a calm, positive experience — even in their later years.
Elmo is an absolute gentleman, and it’s always a pleasure to care for him 💙🐶

Three months ago, this sweet puppy came in for an emergency welfare groom following rescue💔
Today, she’s back — and just look at her now 🤍✨
With patience, love, and regular at-home coat care, her amazing new mam has completely transformed her. Not just her coat (which is now beautiful), but her confidence too 🥰
She’s calm, relaxed, and genuinely loves the grooming process — proof that gentle handling, consistency, and kindness make all the difference.
This wonderful puppy is such a reminder that with time, patience and care, the results can be incredible 💕
I couldn’t be prouder of how far she’s come.
