Firstly may I say a big thank you to the small but efficient committee and due to COVID this appointment like many others was delayed by two years, the weather was kind and I was able to do all my breed judging outside.

English setter puppy two entries 1 absent.
1st Bott Allen and Morgans queensha sky full of stars. Very feminine 8 month old puppy, correct head neck and body for age, pleasing forequarters and feet, needs to settle and wag her tail on the move. BP.

English setter junior two entries 1 absent
1st Wales’s chanina golden rose. Pleasing head and eye, clean throughout, enough neck and body, correct bone and shape, stood well and moved okay. RBOB.

English setter postgraduate 2 entries 1 absent
1st Wales’s chanina golden rose.
English setter open one entry
1st Hoppers, Bramstorm forest Sprite. 5 year old male pleasing throughout, good head and body proportions, moved free and showed well. BOB.

G.S.P Puppy entry one
1st Nixon’s, quintana qing ping, very smart and alert 10 month old bitch, excellent head, neck and shoulders, super body and bone, moved free and showed well. RBOB & BP.

1st Braine’s, Grenetrest Tulip. solid fit and firm, this 4 ½ year old bitch, clean head and eyes, enough neck with good front, moved out Well. BOB.

Irish red and white setter post graduate entry one
1st ward laoirebay glenashleagh from copperwhite, Quality 2 year old bitch correct head neck and shoulders, maturing nicely, happy on the move just needs to settle. BOB

Irish setter junior two entries 1 absent
1st Savage Richards and savage, sixoaks a star is born. good all over shape and framework, moved and stood well, shame he didn’t like being handled I hope this will change.

Irish setter special yearling two entries one absent
1st Bolt Allen and Morgans, Quensha crimes of passion. a superb Irish bitch of 20 months and full of quality, super head and such clean lines, correct front assembly, pleasing body and bone, in fantastic coat and condition, very well handled and presented, nothing to touch her on the move. BOB. I was delighted to find she had won the Gundog group and had no hesitation in awarding her best in show. Absolutely top draw, would take her home today.

Irish setter postgraduate 3 entries 1 absent
1st Cove-print, umbala Hobson’s choice. good sized male of 2 ½ moved out well and with purpose, pleasing to go over, correct head Eye and expression, in excellent coat and condition.
2nd Bromwich pengelirish Lord nicodemus. this young chap needs some time and ring craft training, pleasing overall and well balanced, moved OK.

Irish setter open two entries
1st Milligan bott and bott. Thendara strictly samba, another nice type, correct shape and body, pleasing head neck and shoulders, strong legs and footfall, move and showed well once she settled. RBOB.
2nd Bromwich pengelirish Lord nicodemus. See PG.

Pointer puppy two entries 1 absent
1st Hawks and Robinson codnorhawk Brucie bonus. strong baby throughout, good body legs and feet, just six months and with positive temperament, enjoyed his day. BP

1st Collins, collholme Balthasar, balanced 16 month old white orange male, pleasing head neck and shoulders, strong in body, moved and presented well.RBOB.
2nd Astbury, Jilony bobby ball at dorbury. 18 month old male, good type and still not at his best, his time will come, strong throughout and move better the more I moved him.

Pointer postgraduate 4 entries 2 absent
Two very nice girls here similar in age both have their qualities.
1st hawkfield merry with oramiss. super body, head and legs, tight feet, good angulation, moved out well, stood firm. BOB.
2nd Matthews sonham chasing rainbows, another lovely bitch, quality throughout, pleasing head and eye, correct body and shape, stands well.

1st Collins collholme Angelique. 16 month old white orange, moved true and with purpose, lovely shape and balanced throughout.
2nd astbury penwest photo finish for dorbury. strong orange male, good head and body, correct proportions, super legs and feet moved and handled well.

Flat coated retreaver puppy 3 entries 2 absent
1st Chambers hototo pretty ballerina, what a little star she is, well balanced, super head shape and body, move out well, presented in excellent condition, a credit to her owner. BP.

1st Youens riverglide secret reprieve, nicely proportioned 14 month old male maturing but has all the essentials, correct head and eye keen expression, super body and legs, one to watch. RBOB.
2nd Wilson’s hameldowntor Pedro ximenez, good size and shape, correct body legs and feet, moved well.
3rd Chambers hototo pretty ballerina.

Flat coated retreaver postgraduate 5 entries 1 absent
1st Wilson’s Hameldowntor music of the night (imp) 5 ½ year old bitch is super condition, pleasing head neck and shoulders, correct body and angulation, in good coat, moved well. BOB.
2nd chambers hototo Polly toodle. 2 ½ year old, pleasing throughout, good framework, happy on the move.
3rd Gardner’s Bitcoin Taylor made for svenjak.

Best in show
What a fantastic lineup that awaited my judgement and I am sure they all represented their respective groups well.
Best in show, Irish setter, Bott Alan and Morgan quensha crimes of passion. see breed report.
Reserve best in show, CKCS, Biggs Pauroi top man at kellorian, a very honest dog, so very well presented, good head and kind eye, correct body proportions with good front assembly, move and showed well.

Best puppy in show, Fox terrier (smooth), Brookes Zetamaz I’m your man, and yes he was the man, fantastic attitude showing off from the moment he came into the ring, clean in head neck body legs and feet, well off for bone, fabulous condition, on the move he owns the ring, top draw puppy.
Reserve best puppy in show, Rhodesian ridgeback, doherty’s saimons praide victorius brabus, well built 10 month old male, super framework, clean head and eye, excellent colour coat, pleasing front and rear, moved and showed well.

Best veteran in show, kookierhondje, guys Cirtaps prinses bynton Ida rose mk (imp swd), a cracking 8 year old bitch in tip top condition, clear eyes, good head and body, well presented, moved and showed well a credit to her owner. And a first for the breed I’m told, to achieve BVIS, well done.
Reserve best veteran in show, Siberian Husky, tinkers multi ch Zaltana raindrop’s on roses at lolotea (imp pol) JW, outstanding quality quality bitch, lovely head eye and expression, pleasing body legs and feet, moved and showed so well.

Pedder’s Saint Laurent De Chester at Caldermist (Imo Fra) D 11 mths. Stood alone here. Good for size make and shape on the stand. Skull to muzzle ratios developing well moderate stop with good jaws and bite. Eye good colour for coat tone and pigment. Nice reach of neck and well laid shoulders. Ribs ample spring. Thighs starting to muscle sound neat hocks, good tail set and carriage. Moved well her excellent coat and presentation. BP.
Junior 3
Canty’s Bargemon High Society B Ultra feminine silhouette on the stand. Lovely head proportions, moderate stop, dark eyes and pigment. Scissor bite and good jaws. Nice reach of neck into well laid shoulders, ample depth and width to chest. Firm top line good croup tail set and carriage. Thighs starting to muscle stands on neat tidy hocks and good feet. Moving she was balanced and covered ground with ease. BOB
Bird’s Irisaddition Shes all that with Bridus. B Well b***d Just out of puppy. Good size and shape on the stand. Soft expressive dark eye of good shape, moderate stop, and scissor bite. Nice neck and front shoulder assembly and feet. Firm top line and muscled thighs. Neat hocks. Coat changing as to be expected at this age but already can feel a texture coming. Here just preferred her more positive rear action over 3. RBOB

Tinker’s Veloche Ludovico Schagya Polonia at Lolotea (imp Pol) 2 yrs. Good balanced shape on the stand. Dark markings to face, almond shaped eyes one wall eye of good colour and one brown. Equal head ratios, defined stop with good scissor bite. Neck arched and fits into well laid shoulders. Chest good for width and depth. Nice oval feet. Good undercoat and texture. Moving showed a positive fluid gait.

Tinker’s Multi Ch Zaltan Heartbreaker Kid at Lolotea (Imp Pol) JW. Lovely outline on the stand. Head has good balanced ratios and stop. Ears used well, eye nice almond shape and pigment good coloured wall and brown eye. Next has nice arch and fits into well laid should, chest has width and depth of brisket, stands on straight front legs and oval feet. Firm in body tone well-muscled thighs sound hocks and good tail carriage. Moving showed positive drive and reach covering the ground with ease. Bob pleased to hear won the Working Group.
Tinker’s Esquimsaux Kind a Magic JW 10 yrs Mature super shape on the stand. Nice fox like head and of good proportions, moderate stop lovely dark eyes and good bite. Neck well-muscled and fits into well laid shoulders stands on good oval feet. Chest well developed. Moving covered the ground effortlessly. Harsh and dense jacket.

Davies Waterley Viceroy D BP Group 1 Bl/W 9 ½ mths. Lovely square outline on the stand. Skull developing well, defined stop lovely dark brown expressive eyes. Muzzle good for depth and width and dentition. Neck fits into well laid shoulders, good ribbing firm top line and tail set on high, good stifles and neat sound hocks. Well present jacket. Moving showed strong action from rear and front good reach. BP and Puppy Group 1.
Willoughby ‘s Palshar All that Glitters D Bl/W 11 mths. Good square shape on the stand. Skull to muzzle ratios developing well. Good stop dark eye and good bite. Moderate neck and good lay of shoulders, firm top line nice bend of stifles and hocks. Moves with balance and ground cover. Same sire as BOB
Esposito Dalewood Sparks Will Fly D 7 ½ mths.

Esposito’s Dalewood Joyrider D. Good size make and shape on the stand. Nice skull shape and ear set, defined stop. Dark eyes Moderate neck and good shoulder placements, chest developing well for depth and width, firm body tone. Muscled thighs and hocks. Moved out with balance and positivity. In puppy challenge preferred tail set and carriage of the other puppy today.
Fenton’s Layoli Tropical Romance B G/W Heavily coated well presented jacket. Pigment good for colour tone. At this stage a shade longer in back needs to firm up in muscle tone for a more positive action on the move.

Thomas ‘s Kelmorespitz Dazzled Storm JW B Bl/W Square shape on the stand. Head to skull ratios developing well, moderate stop, dark eye and pigment, good dentition. Ample neck into well laid shoulders, chest has depth to brisket. Nice stifles and neat hocks. Moved out freely fore and aft with balance. Good coat and presentation.

Davies Alilah Intrigued B BOB Group 2 Feminine square silhouette on the stand. Well-presented jacket of quality. Head has and good shape so ears fit and set on high. Stop well defined and muzzle has strength and good dentition. Neck moderate in length and fits well into well laid shoulders. Stands on straight front legs and good feet. Top line is firm and good set of tail. Well- muscled thighs and neat low set hocks. On the move was fluid balance and powerful ground cover. Pleased to award her Group 2 later. Shall watch with interest.
Willoughby’s Palshar Jimmy Choo D W/Bl markings. Well b***d lad and masculine. Heavily coated needing to settle, but has a good square shape underneath. Skull is masculine with good ear set, darkest expressive eye, good stop and muzzle strength and dentition. Nice reach of neck and shoulder placements. Top line firm and well-muscled thighs. Neat hocks, driving round the ring in an effortless striding action. RBOB

Ross Caselden Obi Wan Kenobi 6 yrs. Broad flat skull, and well set ears, slightest stop, muzzle has depth. Even placing of teeth. Short neck set well, nice spring of rib and top line firm, Ample bend of stifles and well let down to hocks. Moved well, but l rear action could be a shade stronger.

Saich Lindcoly Simba D. 9 mths Gold Almost flat skull and high set of ears. Good muzzle shape gives the desired wedge shape. Oval eye of good colour and pigment. Moderate amount of neck shoulders well placed, God fit to elbows. Ample chest depth. Firm top line with high tail set. Moved out well from all angles RBOB BP
Monk’s Moons Rocks Cross my Heart at Rozibon B Bl. 9 mths. Good shape on the stand though out of coat today. Nice wedge shape to head dark eye and pigment. Ample depth and width to chest. Good shape to feet. Moving showed a clean set of hocks and side gait.

Thomas’ Int Ch. Clarmers Talking Mischeif with Kelmorespritz Lux JR Ch BJWLU17 Overall a good shape on the stand. Head of good wedge shape ears set high but rather pointed and thinner leathers. Neck Moderate and fitting into good shoulders. Chest a tad wide this showed coming towards for me but retained good tail carriage.

Wilkin’s Whizzkees Silver Spark B Good shape on the stand. Head has good wedge shape and ears set well. Defined in stop and taper to muzzle, eyes dark and almond shape. Ample neck and shoulder placements. Good depth to chest and tail set on well. Thighs and hocks ok standing on the move was not giving her all and not balanced going away or towards. Dense jacket coming back.

Wilkin’s Whizzkees Quicksilver D 3 yrs. Litter brother to winner of last class. Masculine in size and bone. Dark masking and eye colour, good head ratios and taper give desired wedge shape. Good bite. Ample neck length. Well placed front assembly. Chest well developed. Standing on parallel hock but moving was quite close in rear action and not giving his all to cover the ground. Jacket has dense undercoat outer has texture benefit from a tidy up the longer ends.

Rear assembly compliments front giving a fluid balanced powerful action from all angles. Presented to perfection.
Prout’s Kessaku Mamma Mia B J*p Spitz B. Lovely outline on the stand and feminine. Good wedge shaped head, defined in stop, dark oval eyes and pigment. Erect in ears and used well. Good front shoulder placements and stands on straight front legs and good feet. Firm top line, with high set tail. Nice bend of stifle and hocks, moved at correct pace giving a light ground covering action well presented jacket.

Moore & Casentieri’s Emerson Alpiu Slenis of Alchez (Imp LTU) Shih Tzu 17 mths Superb shape on the stand. Broad skull and good square muzzle, good dentition. Eyes dark and expressive. Nice arched neck into well laid shoulders, Broad and deep chest and ribbing, top line firm and high tail set and carriage. Well-muscled thighs and neat hocks giving sound smooth action with good forward reach. Excellent quality jacket and presentation. Really liked his attitude and charisma.
Massey’s Ristine Sunny Jim D Schp Rich Red Good shape to skull and muzzle, dark expressive eye alert ear usage scissor bite. Short reach of neck and good shoulders. Chest well developed. Moving had brisk ground covering action.

Cadwaller’s Albionspitz Burt D Eurasier Masculine lad on the stand. Skull is flat and, muzzle is set on parallel planes correct ear placements lovely dark oval expressive eye and pigmentation. Good dentition well-fitting lips. Well laid shoulders, good chest depth and elbows fit well, stands on straight front legs and good feet. Broad in croup gives good tail set. Well-muscled toned body and thighs neat hocks. On the moves shows good ground cover with balance stride, unlucky today to meet the Shih Tzu.

Moderate in neck and good shoulder angles and elbow to well-developed ribcage. Well assembled rear with good muscle tone and this showed in positive ground cover.

Slight bow to front legs fitting good spring of ribcage. Moderate amount of stifle, moved out well with positive action well-furnished jacket and tail carriage.
Fenton’s Int/Lux//Be Ch Layoli Hot N’Smokin JW ScCM ShCEx D T/T 8 ½ yrs. Not disgraced to stand 3rd today.

Cassidy’s Athena B Mex Hairless Std.Xoloitzcuintle Feminine outline on the stand. A little aloof but soon settled. Good skull to muzzle ratios forming a nice wedge. Eye expressive and almond shape. Alert usage of erect ears. Long neck and moderate lay of shoulders. Firm in top line, chest developing well for depth and width. Rear assembly compliments that at front which allows a sound graceful ground cover. B. Import and BP Import.

Group 1 Timm’s & Henderson’s French Bulldog Chelmbull Stary Seas for Olijah B Rich coloured fawn. Super feminine shape on the stand. Good square head shape almost flat between well placed ears. Defined in stop, with dark expressive eyes. Muzzle has depth and width and well placed dentition. Well-muscled neck and cobbyness to body, deep brisket and good ribcage. Moderate in stifle and sound hocks giving her an unhurried free action with balance and fluidity.

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge Afghan Hounds, it was a lovely well run show at a great venue with nice big rings - perfect for my first appointment in the breed. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors for entering under me it was lovely to get my hands of quality dogs.

1st Mrs A M & Mr M Lancashire & Miss C O’Donnell’s DRISHAUN SAY SHE AIN’T GAZON (AI) JW. Bitch just under 4 years old with a stunning elegant head of correct proportions with a lovely expression, flowing into a good length of neck and well laid & set back shoulders with good strong bone. Very pleasing body with a level topline & good spring of rib. Strong short loin leading into a lovely fallaway. Well bent and turned stifles, strong backend. Free flowing on the move with a nice spring in her step, true coming and going. RBOB
2nd Mrs J Walsh’s CALAMUS DEVIL IN DISGUISE. Dog of 3 years with Handsome head & expression going to a strong good length neck. Correct length of shoulder and will filled in front. Good length of body with pleasing spring of rib. Correct length of loin. Strong backend although preferred 1st’s bend of stifle & backend. Lovely free flowing movement and true coming & going. Correct tail set with a lovely ring tail.�
3rd Mrs A M & Mr M Lancashire & Miss C O’Donnell’s SYRDARYA CEYLON CHAI DRISHAUN.

1st Mrs A M & Mr M Lancashire & Miss C O’Donnell’s DRISHAUN STAR AMONG LILIES JW. This just under 4 year old boy caught my eye straight away he stood with such power and elegance whilst talking away to his handler keen and eager to be shown. A super handsome head of correct proportions & lovely shaped eyes. Flowing to a strong good length of neck with well placed shoulders with front legs well under the body. Well filled front with nice depth & good spring of rib. Amazing topline with a short strong loin and prominent hip bones with excellent fallaway going to a good tail set leading to a very pleasing ring tail. Lovely bend of stifle with strong hocks. On the move this boy didn’t disappoint and flew round the ring with such ease and spring in his step. Super clean and true coming & going. BOB and pleased to see him win the hound group.�
2nd Miss L & Ms C O’Donnell’s DRISHAUN FAITH IS LIKE A LILY FOR JAVIDAN JW. Just under 4 year old bitch, litter sister to 1st and that was very obvious, most of what was said about 1st goes for this lovely girl - Super pretty head, strong neck of good length and well placed shoulders with good bone. Well sprung ribs and definite tuck up. Very pleasing topline with a strong loin and excellent fallaway leading to a good tail set and very pleasing ring tail. Very free flowing and effortless on the move with a great gait. True coming & going although my 1st place had the edge as he was cleaner on the day.�
