I obtained a dog walking job last weekend for a couple and the gentleman unfortunately has Cancer. He called me in the week and said the Cancer had got worse and his wife has had to give up work so they couldn't pay me for walking their dog.

I said I will still walk their dog but I don't want any payment.

I believe if you can't help someone at a time when they need it, it's a bit of a poor show and a reflection on yourself. Life is NOT all about money.

If you have a puppy you need to understand the world from their point of view. Make sure they are kept on the lead when there are a lot of other dogs around. They need to socialize with other dogs but sometimes if they are a bit timid it can overwhelm them and they may run off. I believe that all dogs should ALWAYS be kept on the lead when walking near traffic and should only be let off the lead when they are in an open field, common or wood etc.
