Public Service Announcement
No matter how friendly your pet is - a veterinary practice is not the time to start a 'meet and greet'
Remember that some pets are terrified, and don't want to play, even if they do not look sick, they may be there for unknown medical issues and should not be approached unless given express permission.
Cats should never have their boxes sniffed by another pet!
💚Have you dog on a short lead, and under control
💚Do not allow them to sniff or approach any other pet
💚 Ensure cats are given safe spaces to rest in their carriers - ideally somewhere quiet, covered, or up higher on a table or cat stand.
💚Just because a pet doesn't look unwell, does not mean they aren't - they may act out of character in a veterinary practice
💚Make sure dogs have a collar on or harness that they cannot slip or escape out of if they suddenly decide to go backwards
💚 Make sure microchip details are up to date before you travel
💚 If you are able to feed them (they aren't poorly or going for a surgical procedure) then bring high value rewards or toys to keep them entertained while waiting for their appointment
