At ZIGGY'S DOG SALON our aim is to provide a professional grooming service for your dog or cat. We have grooming options available, from just a bath and dry to a full groom, or just drop in for a nail trim. Your pet will be groomed in a calm and stress free environment. Dogs are not held in crates and all are dried with hand-dryers, we don't use cage dryers. We use high quality products and your d

💕We've had puppy love in the salon this week💕

Two new puppies joined us this week to begin their grooming journeys and build up to those full grooms.

Introduction grooms are vital to ensure that your puppy is welcomed to the salon environment in a positive and relaxed way.

I do try to book in puppies at a quieter time so there's less distractions for them and they can have my full attention.

Introduction grooms include:
●A full wash and hand dried
●Nails clipped
●Ears cleaned
●Hygiene area cleared
●Eye area cleared away if a long haired breed
●Paw pad area cleared

Just those priority areas are attended to which gets puppy acclimatised to the sounds of the equipment without overwhelming and scaring them for future visits. The idea is that we build up to that full groom in a positive way which makes grooming better for everybody 💕

Puppy grooming prices start from £20 and depends on the breed.

This morning, we had Bear in for his bath, brush and deshed and he did so well throughout. He'll definitely be feeling much fresher for the summer now. Just an example of the coat in the second photo but it wasn't all of it!

If you have a double coated breed that is in need of a good deshed then we have deshed package options to remove all that dead coat and help get that coat back in tip top shape.

❗️Any dog arriving for their groom, showing signs of heat stress, will be turned away and their appointment rearranged. Safety always comes first❗️

🐾Avoid walking dogs to their appointment, especially when the sun is at its strongest as this can make your dog show signs of heat stress🐾

❗️Elderly and brachycephalic dogs are at a higher risk of heat stress so please don't be upset if I make the decision to put the dogs safety first❗️
