Just a few snaps of my feathery mates from my garden, them goldfinches are flying through the sunflower hearts and nyjer seeds, I need to top the feeders up every 2 days... But I love seeing them all day long🐦🐦😁

Hello my wonderful customers.
I have been thinking for a while now, and have decided to lower the prices for my seeds, I was recently walking around B&M and seen the prices they are selling wild bird food for, and this has made up my mind.
All the seeds I supply are purchased from my very nice supplier in Peterborough in large bulk bags to me. I then divide into the size and quantity that you want to order and supply direct to you when ordered.
I am not doing this for profit, this is solely a little hobby of mine and whatever small amount of money is made, only feeds the birds in my own garden.

I am a magpie..

The common magpie is distinguishable by its black and white appearance, with iridescent blue feathers adorning the tips of its wings. Both male and female magpies have similar physical characteristics, so they can be difficult to tell apart just from looking at them.
Magpies are known for their intelligence and they have previously been put to the test with the ‘mirror test’, which tries to determine if an animal can recognise their own reflection in a mirror, the magpie is the only non-mammal to pass the test! These birds are also famed for their attraction to shiny and glittering objects, however, research has suggested that this is purely an observation made by humans, rather than fact. Magpies can be attracted to shiny objects, but it’s not something exclusive to their breed and has, in fact, been linked to males trying to ‘impress’ females during mating season!

What do magpies eat?
Magpies eat a mix of small invertebrates, berries and grains depending on the time of year. During the winter, magpies prefer the in-season berries that can be found on bushes and trees, however, in the summer they enjoy small insects such as worms, beetles and flies.

Why is feeding birds with peanuts so great?
Due to their high-fat content, they are a fantastic source of energy all year round, but particularly in winter and early spring when conditions can be harsh.

The fact is, no matter what type of peanut product you feed your feathered garden friends, you are offering an extremely nutritional treat.

The answer is.....

I am a blackbird

Gone are the days of baking ‘four and twenty blackbirds’ in a pie! Nowadays, there are between 10 and 15 million blackbirds living in UK gardens, country sides and cities.

Blackbirds often eat insects and worms that they find whilst rummaging through the ground. However, they also eat a range of seeds, fruits and kitchen scraps. Keep your garden feeder topped up with my everyday wild bird food to provide a tasty treat for any blackbirds that come to visit.

I will add another question tomorrow.

Quick tea-time teaser.. I thought I'd start with a really easy one!

What am I?

I have an orange yellow beak.
I have a shiny plumage, although my females are brown in colour with a faintly spotted breast.
I have a ring around my eye, and was one in a pie with 23 of my mates?
