☀️ Hot day = slow day for Sniff & Stroll 🐾
Today me and Bella are swapping our walking shoes for a comfy spot in the garden 🌿
As much as we LOVE getting out and about, days like this are just too hot for long walks — and Bella’s welfare always comes first 💛
🐶 Why does it matter?
Dogs can’t cope with heat the same way we do. And even when it doesn’t feel that hot to us, the ground can burn paws and the heat can quickly lead to dehydration or even heatstroke. That’s why it’s so important to plan walks around the temperature, not just your routine.
✔️ Early morning or late evening walks are safest
✔️ Shorter, slower walks with plenty of water
✔️ Skipping a walk is sometimes the best thing you can do
At Sniff & Stroll, your dog’s safety always comes before anything else — even if that means a garden chill, enrichment time, or a quick toilet break instead of a full walk 🐕
Because a happy dog is a safe dog 💛
If you ever need help adjusting your dog’s routine during warmer weather, I’m here to help 🐾
