I'm super-proud of Monty and our work in both Warrington St Ann's CE Primary School and Cinnamon Brow C of E Primary School .

You can read about what Monty gets up to in Your Dog Magazine (January 2026). Many thanks to the brilliant journalist Andrea Mc Hugh who wrote the article, and to all the children whom Monty loves to work with.

We can’t stress this enough:  the stigma around muzzles is dangerous. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It stops guardians from using a management tool that could keep their dog (and others) safe.  It shames people for doing the responsible thing.  It fuels judgement, fear, and misinformation.

But here’s the thing.... a muzzle isn’t the problem.  Stigma is.

The simple fact is: ethical, well fitted muzzles don’t hurt dogs.
Stigma does – by making guardians feel isolated, judged, or ashamed for prioritising safety.

We’re here to change that.  One post, one conversation, one muzzle at a time. 🫶

Share this post to help change minds! 👌

🐾 Why Small Steps Matter in Dog Training 🐾

Training your dog is a bit like teaching a toddler to put their shoes on the right feet—not impossible, but definitely not happening all at once. 🐶👟

We can’t expect our dogs to go from zero to perfect recall in a week. It takes patience, repetition, and lots of celebration over the small wins (yes, sitting when asked does deserve a mini street party).

Small steps help your dog build confidence and actually understand what you’re asking. And when they get it right, they’re not just behaving—they’re learning to trust you.

So take your time, keep your sessions short and sweet, and don’t forget the snacks. Progress is a process!

Find It

Hide small treats around the room and let your dog use their nose to find them.

It is Monty and Fraggle's favourite game.
