The cosy cottage, rabbit boarding Rabbit boarding Hi, my name is Jo, thanks for checking out my page. I've been keeping & rescuing rabbits for over 35 years now. They contain a large hutch within.

I am a qualified vet care assistant & a foster mum for the local rescue. The cosy cottage is home from home for your pets. It is very secluded and safe with an area specially designated for boarders only. It is a small family run business with only 8 enclosures. This is all I will take so rabbits can receive personal care & attention. Each enclosure a minimum of 25square foot and is fox proof. The

enclosure is covered in tarpauline each night and rabbits are not shut in the hutches. I have different size enclosures & rabbits are housed according to their size & number. This includes a large breed enclosure. I supply all foods & an endless supply of hay. If your pet is on medication, please bring it with you clearly labelled and I can administer it. If your pet has a contagious condition please message me beforehand as it will not be possible to board them until they have been cleared by the vet. I ask for all rabbits to be fully vaccinated against Myxo/Vhd1 & Vhd2 at least 2 weeks prior to their visit to protect them and all the other boarders. A picture of their vaccination card MUST be sent to me via email, messenger, whatsapp or text

*****CLOSURE NOTICE*****
It is with great sadness that I have to announce closure of The Cosy Cottage Rabbit boarding 😔
This is due to personal reasons.
I have individually emailed everyone with the addresses on record. Thank you so much for all your support over the years.
Any bookings for christmas/new year and next year I will honour but as long as you are aware I now have a job so won't be around full time anymore. I totally understand if you'd prefer to book in with another boarder, below are some recommendations for some lovely ones.
The cosy cottage shop will also be closing I'm afraid.

Our Story

Hi, my name is Jo, thanks for checking out my page. I've been keeping & rescuing rabbits & guinea pigs for over 30 years now. I am a qualified as a vet care assistant and a foster mum for the local rescue.

The cosy cottage is home from home for your pets. We are a small family run business with 8 rabbit enclosures and 8 guinea pig hutches. This is all we will take in as we like to give all pets staying with us personal care and attention. Rabbit enclosures are sized according to the size and number of bunnies staying, this includes a large breed enclosure. Each enclosure contains a large hutch which the bunnies will be closed in each night and covered over. Enclosures are fox proof. Guinea pigs are housed in 4 0r 5ft hutches within a large, light airy shed and exercised on our lawn everyday, undercover if out of season. It is very secluded and safe with an area specially designated for boarders only. All food is supplied, endless supply of hay and greens (salad for piggies) is also supplied daily. If your pet is on medication, please bring it with you and I can administer it. If your pet has a contagious condition please let me know as it will not be possible to board until they have been cleared by your vet.

We do ask for all rabbits to be vaccinated against myxo/Vhd1 & 2 at least 2 weeks prior to visit to protect them and all other boarders. A picture of their vaccination cards MUST be sent through to me via messenger, whatsapp or email before your visit.
