Introducing Our Mid-Week Pups 🐶

We wanted to do a special write up for Meeko who is a 10 year old Shih-Tzu. Meeko has Cushings Disease, and only has one eye, so we had to make alterations to his groom in order to keep him comfortable. We pride ourselves to be accommodating to dogs with all different needs. He was so well behaved, and looked absolutely stunning when he left. We cannot wait to see him again in the future, well done Meeko!

In honour of the weekend coming up, we present you all with Fridays Pampered Pups 🥰

Todays been a day full of puppies, starting our day off with Tank the 4 month old Bull Mastiff who came today for his second puppy package! We then had Szebe, a 6 month old chihuahua who behaved beautifully throughout. We finished our day off with Bear, a Miniature Dachshund cross Jack Russel who was the sweetest boy ☺️

How gorgeous are these three pups 😍?!

🐶 We started our Wednesday off with Archie the Shih-Tzu. Archie is an older boy, so his groom focused on getting him comfortable rather than the aesthetic. He was so well behaved throughout his groom and even posed for his photo at the end!

🐶 We moved swiftly on to the AMAZING Tilly, who is a German Shepherd. She came for a good deshed and was amazing throughout. She expecially enjoyed her bath as she jumped straight in!

🐶 Lastly, we finished our day with Jessie who is an 11 month old Cocker Spaniel. Jessie did not have clippers on her coat, so she was just in for a good bath and tidy up. She left the salon one happy pup, looking and smelling gorgeous.

🐶 Tuesdays pampered pups, we were joined by Annie the Chihuahua and Bella the Lhasa Apso cross. They were an absolute delight to do and we definitely can not wait to see them back in for their next appointments!

We are also considering starting up a Youtube channel where we can post detailed demonstrations on how to brush and maintain your dog at home, videos of the grooms step by step and more. Is this something people would like to see? 🤷‍♀️

And we are back!!

I have finally returned from my holiday to rescue Lindsay and get our salon back into routine with the social media and organisation 😅 She has had the wonderful Stevie to help out around the salon whilst I have been on my holidays. It feels good to be back doing what I love best!

🐶 The handsome chap below is Cooper the Shihtzu. We are incredibly proud of this boy today as he has progressed so much in such little time. The first time he came through our doors he was very unsure about the salon, staff and his surroundings. He hadn’t had a groom in a while and needed a fresh start. His first session with us Lindsay managed to do a rough clip down of his coat and free his knotts, but we were unable to complete his groom or give him a bath due to stress.

However, this time, he tolerated the bath, dryer and a tidy up. For Cooper, our main aim is to get him comfortable; not thinking to much about the aesthetic of his cut. As long as he is knott free, and content when walking out our salon doors, we know we have done our job! Not to mention how amazing his owners are being so patient and understanding, also staying and comforting him throughout his appointment.

❗️As we are coming up to summer, we know your pup is going to be enjoying themselves in the paddling pools, sun, fun walks etc; and so will you! Maintaining your dogs coat can be hard, expecially if they are not a big fan of being brushed (we see this alot as a dog groomers) 😅

We would definitely prefer for your dog to be cute and fluffy and we absolutely hate when we have to shave down a dog due to matting. Not only does it wear out our equipment, but it is extremely time consuming and frustrating for the dog.

If you are struggling to keep ontop of your pups coat, speak to us! We can recommend regular grooming sessions, demonstrate how to correctly brush your dogs coat ensuring you are getting to the root, recommend what brushes are best to use, correct techniques and more.

In no way is this post aimed at any of our existing customers nor is it shaming anybody for their dogs coat. We are simply reposting the display we have up in our reception. Our aim is to spread awareness and help those who are struggling with maintaining their dogs coat. At the end of the day, were dog groomers, its our job! 🥰

Unfortunately, until next Friday, our account activity will be limited due to me (the social media manager) being on holiday. As it is only Lindsay, the salon manager at the shop back home (sorry for abandoning you🫣!), I will be posting any photos that I receive. I apologise if your pup has not been posted, we will be right back at it from next Friday.

I would of handed over the role of being social media manager to Lindsay, however, im not to sure if that would of ended well.. lets just say im in charge of social media for a reason😅

Although social media may not be her strong suit, that definitely doesnt mean she isn’t absolutely AMAZING at grooming. If anything, I’m actually quite offended at how well shes doing without me there 🥲

The pups below was from yesterday and they look absolutely amazing. I will be posting updates when possible. Well done all 💜🐾

Todays pups 🤩

We started the day off strong with the two Labradors Elvis and Nala, who were so well behaved throughout. They came in for a good bath and deshed as they are always getting mucky on their walks!

We moved swiftly onto the amazing Bebe and Lexi. Bebe came in needing a good freshen-up as she was looking quite scruffy. Safe to say she was definitely feeling herself afterwards, strutting her way around the salon with her gorgeous new hair.

Finally, we finished the day off with Paco, a Shih-Tzu. Although Paco isn’t entirely a fan of being groomed, today he surprised us all. He was tolerant of pretty much everything, and was even kind enough to pose for a photo at the end with his adorable bandana.
